  1. The book is on the Amazon.com best sellers list.
  2. That's all I saw all last week too.
  3. If a lie is repeated enough times it would become widely accepted as truth.
  4. You like the No Yuppie Guns? I liked the phrase when I came up with it. No High Cap Weinies would have been my second choice. You can thank Mike McCarter for originating the Oregon Single Stack Championship, from my memory he was the one that came up with the match idea when I was running the ipsc program back then. Hope you have a good time.
  5. I lasted about two and a half years before I had enough, that was five years ago or so. I think I've only shot maybe three to five matches since then even though I've had all the ability to shoot about every weekend. The burnout affected my attitude towards the sport which I'm trying to overcome. I've lost a lot of good shooting time that I'll never get back, don't let that happen to you.

  7. The perfect title for a "Somebody that we don't need to talk about on the SHOOTING forum" biography, "Moore Lies."
  8. LOL! I just got some of those stamps today.
  9. I'm glad to see this posted on this forum. This young man as well as the rest or our young men (not boys) deserve attention for the sacrifice and in some cases like this the ultimate sacrifice needs recognition for what they have given up. Thanks for posting this Jeeper. I'll post what I posted on the NUGE Board: Not just a hero, but a REAL American HERO. A kid that could have been financially secure for the rest of his life, possibly fame for the rest of his life and he unselfishly gave it all up for his, our Country. Now that's a f*#king true hero! He talked the talk and walked the walk. RIP, hero. A truly unselfish American.
  10. That's great! The last time I talked to Josh he was laid up with a bad back.
  11. Some thing must have been wrong with your dads Impala, may be suspension. As for traction the stock TA's that came on the Impala weren't good. You have to remember these are 4200 lb full size cars and they won't handle like a Camaro or even a ricer.
  12. 248 on ramp northbound I5. The Last section of concrete barrier wears the frontend of my car. There's a slight curve on the onramp and that's where I lost it.
  13. Thought I'd post a couple of aftermath pics:
  14. Another thing I hate besides wrecking my car is higher taxes, but this time Oregonians have a choice. I received my ballot today to decide on Oregon’s biggest tax increase in history that the politicians tried to shove down our throats. Please vote NO on Measure 30.
  15. I still use Dillon's Blue Magic.
  16. I tell you what I hate! Taking me six years to get a nice family ride, my 95 Impala SS. Putting time and money into the ride to make it even better, and then one morning (yesterday) on the way to work I hit black ice going 55 on an onramp. I lose control of the car, tried to steer out of it, but the car spun around, front-end hits a concrete barrier, spins around again, goes down an embankment and that’s where I came to a stop. That's not the worse part! My oldest just got his license last month and when we put him on the insurance I was too stupid to look at the cost for our three vehicles so I went with the minimum insurance ($3600 a year) instead of the full coverage I used to have, which means I have no collision.
  17. I had problems loading the tenth round in the mags too. Even broke one of the loaders trying to get the tenth round in.
  18. Unless you live in a town where Wallyworld has killed off the competition. Then you either have to drive or use the internet. Our local Wallyworld is one of the more bizarre stores I have ever been in. I have been carded to buy a single can of spraypaint and they limit the number of chemical handwarmers you can buy at a time because they contain "some chemical". Yeah...uhh...that is why they are called "chemical" handwarmers. They contain rock salt, iron oxide and silica gel. All of these can be purchased legally in large quantities without limit or ID check. Argh. Have never had a problem at Walmart besides the store just being too busy.
  19. A thumbs up for capitalism, because you can always shop elsewhere.
