I have a kimber pro carry, I would like to have front cocking serrations, but seems like nobody puts them on the short slide guns, is there a reason?

I got this limited gun a few years back and have always wondered about this cut in the slide, near the breech face, what purpose does it serve, I got the gun used (gun broker) with out any history, I don't know who built it, or who shot it, but it runs great, thanks!

competition- STI Sentry/Trojan single stack .40 Duty- HK P2000 Off Duty- depending on the weather, if I can conceal it is a HK USP (with thumb safety, SA/DA), Glock 27, and if I am wearing swim trunks and a T-shirt, I throw my Kahr CM40 in the pocket.

I finally got a chance to shoot it this morning. I shot about 100 rounds of my re-loads through it, was a bit tight at first, having trouble returning into battery completely, after that I shot about 20 rounds of self defense type hollow points (180 pf stuff). I would compare the experience to my Glock 27, I wouldn't say it is much worse recoil wise. The front strap factory stippling/checkering does its job well, so far I am happy with this little gun, it carries in a pocket well.

I just ordered one a few minutes ago from Palmetto State Armory, Labor day sale $299, thought I would try one out, anyone have one? love it? hate it? Jason

I had the same gun, same problem, ended up using a dawson extended fp it lasted a few thousand rounds then broke, I replaced it and sold the gun so YMMV. good luck

I squealed to Verizon and was told to do a hard reset......no surprize that it didnt fix any problems I had, so I called again and they sent me a new phone (same model) that had not received the upgrade, of course the next morning it automatically downloaded the updated OS, now I just have to try and keep it from installing, I went into the App manager and found the google mainframe program, and turned off notifications, so far so good, if I can keep the old software I will be happy, battery life is back to my usual 1 1/2 2 days where with kit kat I got 6 hours and it was telling me to plug it in. J

I recently purchased an Aliengear or Alien ware something along those lines to try out since it was only $30 I like it, alot, I own the Crossbreed, as well as a Galco King tuk, and I feel like it is on par comfort wise, but seems like I normally end up carrying a plastic gun in the crossbreed, as it is the most comfortable, but I am trying to like carrying the heavy gun. I acquired one this past weekend, I like it. has some sharp edges, but overall I think it's a keeper.

I had 5.8 grains solo 1k, under a 180 gn bear creek loaded to 1.190 federal brass, federal primer at this year L10 nationals, chrono was 185.7 it pays to check your powder throw every now and then

take a look at blue dot, makes a ton of gas, I was running that with bear creek bullets (155?) I think and was a lot of fun

I have a Trojan .40, I have tripp corey mags, and the ten mil ten round mags, and after I sent it to Virgil, it runs 100% on anything I throw at it, factory, hollow points, short/long etc. my load is BC 180gn tc at 1.190 w/5.0 gns solo 1k.
