  1. Hey now, I was just having fun during a break. My M-16 with the 9mm kit is a hoot !!
  2. no I always shoot jacketed bullets at night, keeps down on any smoke that is enhanced by those big ass lights. lol... I switch pistols alot, I use a SVI 9mm, Glock21 ,Glock19,Kimber 45 and my Beretta 92FS... I mix it up to keep familiar with all my toys. I will start using a Para Ord Limited 38super my gunsmith is finishing up in a week or so, and also a Glock 17 that my brother was cool enough to get me for XMAS.
  3. go to SWFA.com they have the best prices anywhere
  4. Sarco has Pachmyre mags for $8.88 each when you buy 10 or more. They are stainless with bumper pads
  5. I have a ASA 308 16 1/2 inch ported bbl, carbon handguard. I generally run a US Optics SN4 on that gun, but put the irons back on it for the Tucson match on the 29th. I shot it at the WC3Gun and let everyone demo it when I wasnt shooting a stage. We went thru about 600 rds of 308 that weekend. what fun it is.
  6. I didnt shoot the match but I was the CRO on stage7 the moving chair stage.
  7. Great match Steve and Dave, I had a great time and my wife thanks you for choosing her to be the caterer. Hope everyone liked the stages and the food.
  8. Rudy does own Billy Bullets now, and has actually stepped up the quality of the bullets. You wont be dissapointed at all. try them
  9. is that a hint for x-mas, my dear brother................... too bad I already got you something else, haha
  10. I have been shooting 3gun for about 12 yrs and had a Rem 1100 break matches 4 times, twice in big matches ( 1 hammer, 1 carrier dog, 2 extractors) . Also you notice a pause in the bolt in its rearward position when firing. I gave up on them about 5 years ago. Its still a good shotgun, just not for me. I have never seen a Benelli break, I have seen them have malfuntions. With time and usage part wear and sometimes fail on all guns.
  11. I only have a chevy because I got a deal on a classic pick up. But me and the wife drive Ford trucks daily. I'm glad to hear that Remington is getting into the 3 gun market/compitition with sponsorship. I still own plenty of thier products (3- 700's in 308, 2-870's 12ga, and a 1100 in 20ga for my daughter). I started into 3 gunning with a Rem 1100 12ga but broke it 4x in matches, thats when I switched to Benelli's The other gun manufacturers are usually great on prizes/sponsorship at most matches and I'm glad to see Remington joining. Hope to meet you on the range. (Edited by tim3gun at 12:22 am on Dec. 3, 2002)
  12. Unfortunately its still a Remington, and its gonna break. If your in tight with Rem. ask them why they have never sponsored a 3 gun match? We tried 6 or 7 times for them on the SMM3gun for prizes and still a no-go. I'm sticking with my 4 Benelli's
  13. I have a line on 15 of the thermold 30/45 for $50 each plus shipping
  14. true, the Sterling 40's are the best, I have 3 of them I also have a Thermold 30/45 and it works great My friend in Texas is selling the Thermold 30/45's for about $50 each and he has about 10 of them to get rid of, he doesnt like them and he has plenty of Sterlings
  15. stay with the Remington= stay in D class....your choise
  16. Don't be silly Kelly, you know your the man ! Looks like I will be using a US Optics SN4 on my ASA 308 at the WC3gun instead of the Trijicon TA11F.
  17. Mark Buchanan of 3gungear.com will be using my TA11F at the WC3gun in Vegas, I will be using the US Optics SN4, I rarely use my Elcan anymore...tooo heavy The TA11F has a chevron reticle in stead of the doughnut which makes it more accurate to my preferred method of sighting. Either way you go, dont by cheat scopes, you get what you pay for.
  18. I meant by forward grip was the knight rail system with forward vertical handle, sorry for the confusion. My scope vary for matchs, at the WC3gun I will be using a Trijicon ACOG TA11F chevron reticle instead of the doughnut. I also have a few Reflex II's, Elcan, Aimpoint and a OKO. If I am not shooting with iron sights I will be using one of the Trijicon scopes.
  19. Thanks Kath, the only thing that is goofy is that its a local match and not USPSA santioned and they loosly follow USPSA rules, I'm practicing with this holster because I'm going to the WC3gun (old SoF) and want to use this holster. Ohh well,...I just beat the whiners with a standard belt holster. thanks again
  20. I was using 16" guns for a while, they do cycle faster and are more of a violent slam, I have switched to 20" guns 2 years ago for all the 3gun events I go to. Altho the gun cycles slower, you cant out shoot it, and its more of a slow push on the recoil. Comparison recoil; shooting a 45 vs a racegun. Altho I havent won any big 3gun matches, I finish in the top 7% for the 16" users.....get rid of the forward grip, it increases recoil, while looking very cool, it doesnt help
  21. I have a Safariland thigh holster and was told by the match director I cant use it because its a un-written club rule and I'm not a police officer or military member, Whats up with that ? its very safe and follows the rules of holsters in USPSA 5-15 5-17 rules
