AR Performance is a good company to deal with. 6.8 was designed for shorter barrels. A 18" will serve you well. You can go 16" and do very well. Also Wilson Combat as well for barrels. Just need barrel, bolt, and mag. PRI mags do very well. For hogs either the 120 SSt from Hornady. Or 95 TTSX from Barnes. Wilson has good ammo also. Spc-2 with 1-11 twist.

I take it to 800 regularly. As for hunting 300 is fine. I am not sure where your info but it is incorrect. Yes the Grendel is designed for longer ranges. But the spc is not a 200yard cartridge. Drink Water! Buy Ammo!

Go over to 6.8 forums. Tons of info there. It's based off of the 30 rem case not the 30/30. More power then a 5.56. Only changes are barrel, bolt, mag. Great deer round. Fantastic hog round. Has a large offering of hunting bullets to choose from. Only target bullets it has is a 115smk, 110 smk. Depending on what you want it for it is a great round. Does well out of short barrels. Ok so 4.2 for plated. that would mean 4.0 for lead as well right? Also 1.135? this would be in a STI 2011.

So maybe 5grains at 1.135? maybe? I have N320 for major USPSA. I am trying to find a use for the remaining powder. Since I shoot 3 gun mostly I would like to use it for that.

Hey guys, I got out of .45 and have several pounds of Bullseye left. would like to see what some of you guys have found with Bullseye and 180 plated (MG) and 180 lead ( Extreme) would rather use it for 3 gun load if it can get soft enough. thanks!!
