  1. Congrats Greg, now keep it in "B" for awhile, let me work on the "A" 's By the way, we now shoot ICORE every month in northern NC, (Caswell Ranch) come on up anytime and join us (3rd Sunday every month)
  2. Lonely at the top, get used to it, we are all after you now !!!! Every mistake you make from here on out, someone will capitalize on, but you are still on top so enjoy it
  3. I'll just have them put it on my nipples....... Really wanted to make this one, can't afford the trip this time, this one really IS for the kids, Cliff, good luck !!! PS mark your calander for May and Oct in NC for our 2 big ICORE matches
  4. I would appreciate any feedback on if we can use .45 Auto Rim brass in our 625's. I shoot this revolver in USPSA with major loads and moon clips and in IDPA with the same load in ESR division. I now shoot ICORE and have come up with a minor load and was wondering if I could reliably use the Auto Rim brass with "HKS" speedloaders and shoot in the new ICORE "Retro" division and maybe use it in IDPA in SSR division. Thanks in advance for any answers
  5. Appreciate the offer, but I'll be shooting USPSA at Pitt County on Saturday, and I need one day to get some stuff done around the house. Plus you can get to 45 seconds pretty quick as that 3 second finger keeps going up !!!Have a good day, John
  6. Congrats to David, Matt and John on making "GM" and especially to Devon, one great shooter and a nice guy, always willing to help out us lowly "B" class revo shooters . Looks like the MR Walsh fan club just got some serious competition here in NC !!
  7. Hey Dean, Great match yesterday, use the "star + 5 targets" in the match next year, some will love us, most will hate us, John
  8. What happens 1Nov 09???? I'm scared. Not to worry oh exhaulted one, Buckland does not have a fan club as large and powerful as you do !!!!
  9. Hey open17, I made up a bunch of different loads to get a lower power factor for ICORE. I'm using home cast 230 LRN cast from plain old wheelweights and used Clays and Bullseye. The best for accuracy that I got was 3.5 grs. of Bullseye at 563 FPS and a power factor of 129.5. As others have said, going too low will leave unburned powder, and I did have some, but it did not seem to be a problem in the cylinders. I'm going to try the Postal Match this weekend and see how they do. Hope this helps a little.
  10. Open invite to everyone that owns a revolver in NC and Va. Caswell Ranch is doing a great job in getting ICORE here in our area. Dean's range is a great place to shoot and the people are great. Yesterday's Postal Match was a great time, but unfortunately, only a very select few of us were there to enjoy the match. Dean has put alot of work into getting this going for US, the shooters, so maybe WE the shooters could get some more people out for the next match. Yesterday we had one of the top USPSA revolver shooters at the match, and not only is it great to watch a real pro, he's also a nice guy who is always willing to help out those of us less skilled shooters. I hope my subtle sarcasm is hitting a nerve with some of you and you are getting the hint to come out and have some fun and support the sport. If you don't yet own a revolver, let someone know, as I for one would be glad to let you borrow one as I'm sure some of the other shooters would be. No reason for USPSA shooters not to come out and for all you IDPA guys, shooting more than 12 rounds on a stage without a vest on and reloading when and where you want can be fun ( if that got someone mad, oh well, I left the ICORE match and shot IDPA last night and shot IDPA today). This coming weekend lets see more people at the match !!!
  11. Cliff is right. It won't be John. Craig Mr. Buckland, how 'bout 6" S&W 57's and HKS speedloaders, sounds like a manly way to shoot!!!!
  12. We all seem to be on the same page, get more shooters out to enjoy the sport. As far as the comparing ICORE to IDPA or USPSA no way, each is it's own game,,,, and lets remember that these are just games!!! I have been shooting alot of different matches and have never had a target shoot back at me and I've never been sued by any non-threat I've hit, and I've shot my share of them!!! The first IDPA match I ever shot, I used a 6" model 57 with full house ammo, they said it was not an IDPA legal gun, but welcome and have a good safe time, I did and have shot about 75 more matches since (with "legal" ssr and esr guns). Bottom line, have fun and get more people out to ALL the matches
  13. Scott, Learn priorities man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter is getting married on an off weekend
  14. Good advice on the "Carolina Cup". I'll stop screwing around and get expert for the next cup (ss now and took that class at this years cup) and Cliff Walsh came up and shot, he went ssr but I'll talk him into esr for 2010, and Dean hopefully will shoot and we have a few locals as expert, so come on to the match!!!
  15. Hey Dean, Shot USPSA at Pitt County yesterday and spread the word about ICORE at your range. Only me and 1 other regular revo shooter there every month, but I'm trying, John
  16. I am up for shooting ICORE, and I shoot at Ant Hill Range quite often. Any chance that I could catch up with other revolver shooters that have experience with ICORE, so that I could be brought up to speed with the sport? I've only shot one match soo far, but what I've learned is slow down a bit and get all "A" 's. Best way to describe ICORE other than great fun is, revolver only USPSA. The match I shot was 5 stages and I tried a different approach to each one. The front sight in the middle of the target is key, you can't afford targets of 1- "A"/ 1"C" as the seconds added (1 for "B" and 2 for "C" and a "M" is 5 seconds added) will kill what would have been a great USPSA run. Hope that helps some.
  17. Dean, You know you can count me in, any help you need (RO, set up, whatever). My son will probably even join ICORE and he's going to shoot the Postal Match. This thing WILL grow. Please set a dress code for the match, as we don't want Cliff Walsh shooting in a Speedo any more !! Ant Hill range usually has 6 or 7 revo shooters every month, lets get them up here and Myrtle Beach area has a few.
  18. Does anyone know where we can look up our classifier scores to see what class they would fall in? Something like the "Ohio Classifier" site that we have in USPSA? Thanks, and ICORE rocks!!!
  19. Shot the match Sunday and it was great. The range was set up perfect and as always the shooters were good bunch of people. Can't wait for our new "Grand Exhaulted Majestic Revolver Ruler" the one, the only, Mr. Walsh to come on up and join us for the NC State Icore Championship 22 May 2010. Only problem, Cliff, our state has some pretty strict decency laws, so please keep some more clothes on than you have in the past!!!!
  20. Every USPSA match I've ever shot, the open/limited guys always complain about the revolver shooters, and there are normally only a small handful of us at any match. I also here them complaining about to have to do a reload, as the stage is 32 rounds and their mags only hold 29. Just once I would love to have a whole squad of revolvers and just one of them!!! See you soon at the match
  21. Hello from Clayton (right next to Raleigh), I'll be at your Sept. match as well as all the following. Been an Icore member for a few years and never shot a match. Thanks for getting it going in NC!!! One suggestion, could we invite just one open or limited USPSA shooter and make him shoot a whole match on a revolver only squad,,, please
  22. Since we all had such a good time at the "Carolina Cup", lets try to get as many revo shooters as we can for this match. Match date 15 Aug 09. All us USPSA shooters must practice IDPA to take the "Cup" back from Mr. Buckland next year!!!
  23. Mr. Buckland, Enjoy your title as Carolina Cup champ, you will retain this title for 363 more days!!!
