  1. 6" .41 Mags laugh at 35 yard poppers, they don't even get serious 'till 50 yards
  2. Take a few testosterone pills and join us, the offer still stands for the gun and ammo, imagine a stage with more than one reload!!!!
  3. Hey Martin, We just might have more revo's tomorrow than single stack!!!! Please be available tomorrow for a picture of you with the "REVO squad" You can even shoot revo with us,, unless it's too much for you to remember,,,, shoot 6, fumble around, load , shoot 6 repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat
  4. Get ready for ICORE at Caswell Ranch on the 3rd Sunday, come out to Sir Walter tomorrow with your revo and join us on the revo squad !!! Our new "GM" will be there, you get to watch a pro !!!
  5. Just a quick update on my previous praise of the "Lee" handprimer, I just got in the mail a box from Lee with 8 replacement handles and 2 new tool bodies for free as replacements, they also gave me a handwritten "thank you" for my continued business. Great company!!
  6. Seth is shooting his regular gun, so my offer extends to any shooter that wants to try shooting a revolver tomorrow. Up for loan for the day is a S&W 57 6" revo in .41 mag, downloaded to the old "Police Load" of the late 60's. It makes major real easy, but not alot of recoil. The 6" barrel gives a great sight picture and the gun is more accurate than most of us can shoot. I will provide the ammo (210 gr. lead semi-wad cutters) and 8 "HKS" speedloaders with holders. Not the fastest set up in the world and you won't beat "Jerry" with it, but for free, why not give it a try. First one to get back to me gets to use it.
  7. Hey Seth, Here's the best offer you will ever get,,, leave that loud noisey open gun home, and I will allow you the fun and honor of shooting one of my revos,, I'll give you the ammo to use, all you have to do is shoot and pick up the brass. I'll even clean the gun,,, now that's a pretty good deal if you ask me,,, just let me know, John
  8. YOU BET !!!!! This is getting better all the time !!! Drive safe and see you in the morning, John
  9. Hey Blueridge, We do alot of revo shooting in the Raleigh area, would love to have you come out and join us, my goal is to get more revo shooters in USPSA and ICORE, even IDPA , the more shooters the better the competition and the better we all get!!!
  10. Just got word from "Big Ed" in northern Va. , he's coming with 6 people, shaping up !!!!
  11. I've loaded on a 550 for over 20 years and never had a problem until one match with 12 light hits on Federals. Since then, I single stage deprime all my 45 ACP brass and then clean the primer pockets out on an RCBS case prep machine. I then hand prime using the cheap "Lee" hand primer. I tend to break a handle about every 3000 rounds or so, but they are only about $2.00 apiece, and "Lee" will send you some replacements under warranty. I know many are saying what a waste of time, but I've not had a light hit in over 10,000 rounds since my new process, and it also gives me an extra look or 2 at the brass for splits.
  12. Having shot in all but "open" division, I find revolver to be the most fun and the most challenging of all. ICORE just added "retro" division to open and limited. Why in the world would they want to get rid of revo? As stated already, revo is growing (4 new GM's at Nationals this year) and there are now more revo GM's than in single stack where this whole game has it's roots. Everyone that owns one should go out and shoot a match or 2 with a round gun and see how much fun they are.
  13. Went to the match last year with my son and had a great time, shot SS with only 4 other shooters. This year I'd love to come back, but want to shoot revolver, any input on how many others might shoot revo? Our National Champ, I'm sure will be there!!!
  14. Not really a match announcement per se, just trying to get enough revolver shooters together to have a whole squad of us at the monthly USPSA match at Sir Walter Gun Club in Creedmore, NC for this coming Saturday, 7 Nov 09. Always a great 7 stage match with round counts of 150-170 on average. These matches are always on par with most Level 2 matches you have shot, minus a stage or 2. Please come out and join us with your round gun if you can.
  15. Thank you for the info Ted, John
  16. Anyone know how long it takes to post the final results, and where we can find them, thanks in advance
  17. Hey Wayne, I envy that you made the match, and am glad that you did. I was not able to get to this one due to slow work. You had the chance to shoot with some great shooters and the fact that you want to get some of your IDPA friends to the next one is great. I'm trying to do the same in my area (Central NC) and we are lucky enough to now have ICORE here. Not sure where you are, but if you are ever in NC, get up with me and you are welcome to come shoot some revo with us.
  18. About 3 hours or so north west of Ant Hill. The club is about 20 minutes north of Raleigh, hope to see some fine SC shooters come out and join us, John
  19. You bet, just so you know, the Sir Walter match is regular USPSA not revo only (just tyring to more revos to shoot) and the ICORE is all revo naturally, off to a 3 gun in Pitt County today !!
  20. Yes, first Saturday of every month we shoot USPSA, 7 great stages, and we also shoot ICORE at Caswell Ranch the third Sunday. We now have a new division in ICORE called "retro" which is speedloaders only, as well as limited and open. Please come out and join us ( I have 6 regular "HKS" speedloaders for my 686 and I'll be shooting my 625, so if you need to borrow some, no problem) John
  21. Best of luck at the match, talked to our new revo champ this morning and he will be there at the Charity match as well. I wanted to go to that one, but times are getting a little tight, thanks for the reply
  22. Appreciate the offer, but I'll be shooting USPSA at Pitt County on Saturday, and I need one day to get some stuff done around the house. Plus you can get to 45 seconds pretty quick as that 3 second finger keeps going up !!!Have a good day, John Dean, Trying to get enough revo shooters for the next USPSA match at Sir Walter. Please come out for the match, bring Chris and anyone else that has been shooting revo in ICORE or IDPA. Trying to get a full squad, should be alot of fun !!!
  23. Jr. has just agreed to come out and shoot revo with the grownups. Now we need more grownups to try and make a revo squad (just think of the look on Martin's face). Please come out for the next match, hopefully our new state "GM" will be there and some of the new ICORE and IDPA guys (yes, you can wear your vests if you want to and load behind cover) 1st Saturday of the month at Sir Walter in Creedmore, NC. Whoever might have a spare gun/rig that they might let someone borrow would help us out, thanks to all
  24. John I thought you were already an A?? Just got it yesterday at Pitt County, should come up in a few weeks, you are next on my list buddy, I see you just made "A" last month, congrats (sorry, thought that was G. Queen I think he just made A)
