  1. You are in a great State for USPSA !!!! Get 10 shooters that are USPSA members to sign the form and get it to our Section Coordinator, Bill S., to approve and then it will be sent to HQ. We just got one up and running at Caswell Ranch in North Central NC 2 months ago and are having a great time, best of luck and when gas prices get better we will drive out and join you, all the best, John
  2. I like the way you think, why not just do an outlaw fun match, or have that as a side stage at a regular match?
  3. Careful, revo is alot of frustrating fun
  4. Heck yes, we held the 2010 IDPA East Coast Championship with 20 stages, have 16 bays, great place and fine folks that own/run it. I'll try and shoot the match there next month. We'll talk then. Sounds good, you shootin' revo or bottom feeder?
  5. We would love to have you come down, lets get more folks interested and set a possible date
  6. The gear offer stands, but really Seth, could you do 8-10 revo reloads on a single stage?
  7. In revo world, everything past classifiers are field courses, so when are you coming down to NC at Caswell Ranch for some good USPSA, Seth ?
  8. Heck yes, we held the 2010 IDPA East Coast Championship with 20 stages, have 16 bays, great place and fine folks that own/run it.
  9. Welcome to revo world, now go out and shoot some matches and let know how you are doing.
  10. Not to steal the name, but love the idea,,,, how 'bout a match like this at Caswell Ranch? Any interest? It would be great to have some 8 to 10 moonclip stages, IDPA guys, you can get a whole match in on only one stage, talk about fun!!!!!
  11. Thanks Dean and Bev for another great match, 6 stages shot and scored in around 3- 3 1/2 hours !!! The turnout was a little lighter than we've had, but I think everyone had a great time and it looks like everyone shot well today, no waits at all on stages and we all kept a nice pace. Well done. Oh yea, 5 revos at a local match, how cool is that!!! Lets make Caswell Ranch THE place for USPSA revo
  12. Way to go Josh, no more sandbagging, no more young kid remarks from me.
  13. When you get into the worked guns, they will usually only fire Federal primers, as they are the softest, not a problem, just something to consider. If you don't reload yet, I would leave the trigger alone 'till you do. Good luck, John
  14. Much good advice already posted, but I would suggest getting out to a local match and start talking to the revo shooters. I have many revos for different games, but if just one to start with, the 625 in 4" is hard to beat, good luck and welcome to the revo brotherhood, where all the cool kids play !!!
  15. Way cool, now I can tell you about my new toy that I got on Sunday, better yet, you can see and shoot it tomorrow
  16. So no production for me this weekend huh? Stick with my revo !!!!
  17. Just my 2 cents, I shoot a 625 also, (2 matches every weekend, USPSA/IDPA and some ICORE) and have not had a light hit in over 20,000 rounds. I use only Rem or Fed brass and use Ranch moonclips. The reason for no light hits is that I single stage deprime the brass and clean the primer pockets and hand seat with Fed primers. I know it's alot of work ( I then load on my 550) but it is worth it to me every time I see afellow revo shooter get a light hit. Good luck and welcome to revo world !!!
  18. Don't forget the open and limited shooters that complain how long we take. I might shoot the stage in twice the time as you (6-20 seconds or so slower) but I don't take 5 minutes at load and make ready (5 draws, turn on the dot, adjust the dot, check every mag, load a mag, chamber, remove mag and replace same ((must get that 29th round in there)) adjust all mags on belt, etc.). And then the joy of beating them every once in a while. And not to forget all the reasons above by others, yes revo shooters are the best of the breed, in my opinion
  19. I want to thank you for this post, I've been cutting .41 Mag brass down real short to use in my milled for moonclip S&W 57, and could not get a crimp after a certain lenght. After reading this post, I had the idea to use .41 Action Express crimp die as it would be same diameter, but much shorter. Thanks for such a great forum and all the info it contains.
  20. Hop, i wish I had the time and means to make your match, plug your stuff here anytime, we revo shooters must all stick together, even Otis (as long as he is properly dressed)
  21. With as many revos as we've had this past weekend at Dean's and Frank's, there SHOULD be a good revolver turnout for Saturday's USPSA match at Caswell Ranch
