  1. I've done many searches, but didn't find the info I was looking for. How much difference is there in oal between these and the Bayou 147fp projectiles? I load the Bayou's to 1.14 in a CZ-SP01 with a little room to spare. Is the profile that much different? It kind of looks so by the pictures. The Bayou's do have the lube groove. I'm trying to figure out if there is no lube groove, does that correlate or more or less of the bullet sitting in the case. I guess that point is moot if the profiles are different though. Also, I've read that there were some accuracy problems with this particular bullet, but you know how that goes.
  2. Welcome from Florida. From another EX-Central New Jersey "ite" Please don't hold that against me. (Being from there I mean.)
  3. I can't seem to open links with my iPad. Is there a way around that? I am signed in, but the only way I can open links, is to go to mobile version. It's a hassle going back and forth, and I really don't care for the mobil page look. I am able to open photos. When I try to open a link, it goes to a blank page. Any ideas?
  4. Welcome Tony. You came to the right place. Greetings from sunny Florida.
  5. Welcome Alan. You came to the right place!
  6. Thanks Pat.That's good information. Mine are all .40's.
  7. Now that's a good question. How can I tell?
  8. I purchased new Grams guts for my 140mm .40 mags. The followers are sitting too high. What is the best way to close the feed lips? I have one that's .406 rear, and .444 front. I'd like to get them down to about .380 rear, and maybe .390 or so in front.
  9. I have the LNL. Been using it for over 2 years. 9mm, .40, and .45. When I first bought it, I used it like a single stage, just loading one round at a time. It gave me insight on what was really going on, and it wasn't that slow. I still use it that way from time to time. The bushings are pricey, so buy in bulk. You WILL use them at some point in time. Same thing with the die lock rings. I have many different makes of lock rings, and I'd say that the Hornady ones are the best. Watch the set up videos on YouTube. Adjusting the pawls are the key to smooth operation. Once you understand how they time the shell plate, you'll be good to go!
  10. Matt drilled my frame and installed his swept back 90 degree mount. He also fit his slide racker in the original dovetail without re-cutting the dovetail. It turned out really nice. It's on the right side. Thanks Matt!
  11. I've had my LNL for over two years. I didn't tweak it since start up, or have to tinker with it. It just works. I also haven't replaced any parts on it yet. I don't have a case feeder though.
  12. There's a fascinating video on YouTube showing bullet impacts on steel at 1 million frames per second. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch. Not sure if it applies here though. I can't insert a hyperlink to it right now. One million FPS bullet.
  13. Yes. With that "coke bottle" effect, I don't see setback ever happening.
  14. And that's the only difference? For like $10 more?
  15. They are all the folded type, DOH. I do think the edges are less rough now at the top and above the trigger guard. The Edge is HC, 1911 stainless, and the CZ, well, polycoate. There is not much wear on the guns. I'll have to practice/shoot more!
  16. I've been looking at some of my Blade Tech holsters, and I can see where there are "rough" spots along the edges, that might cut into the finish of the gun. Is it advisable to sand this area down to smooth it with maybe 400 then 1000 grit emery paper?
  17. I have a Cmore aluminum click sight, and I'm finding that there are differences for the poly and aluminum replacement modules. What exactly is the difference? Are they not interchangeable? Why? Is it the pin configuration? Mine looks like poly/plastic on the top.

I went with the Dawson front sight also. It is pre drilled, and only needed slight sanding with 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. The pin went back easily. Go slow with the sanding, and check often. It's hard to put that metal back on!
  19. I just recently changed from N320 to Tightgroup on my press just to test a particular load I'm testing. I don't use Tightgroup that much, and I'm quite fond of N320. I didn't change from the N320 setting, and dropped a charge to see where I was at. The Tightgroup weighed much, much more than the N320 at the same volume. Of course, I adjusted my powder drop to the correct charge, but, I was surprised to see that the Tightgroup weighed that much more than the N320 at the same volume. Is that normal? Thinking that Tightgroup is more dense, and smaller particles, I can kind of see the difference. George.
  20. The front sight on the Trophy Match has a roll pin going through it, from top to bottom. Just use a very small punch, from the top, with the slide off and barrel removed. Mine came out very easy. I put in a brazo's micro dot. I guess you know that the Trophy Match already has an adjustable rear sight.
