Unfortunately Sparta's match director was unable to put on the Sectional this year. We are currently in negotiations with a club in central, IL. A local match director met with the club president and got his buy in and support to move the sectional to that club on the same dates. To get an official approval, which we are about 95% sure it will take place, we must put the proposal in front of the membership for a vote. The vote will take place Sunday 10 August 2014. We are already leaning forward on the planning for the match in the anticipation of an approved vote (stages, squadding, etc). We expect to push a full press release via shooting forums, USPSA.org, and social media outlets on Sunday if approved.

It will happen somewhere if not Sparta. I am going to try to get confirmation that they will or will not be able to put on the match by this weekend. If I can't get that, we will start making plans for an alternate location. Sparta MD is unavailable for a few days.

It's a little early for the official announcement. Based on past history & absolutely no knowledge of any negotiations or anything else: Pretty good probability of 1st weekend in May at PASA. There might be a chance it would be the 2nd weekend. Information should be posted at http://1911ssc.com/ when available.
