i bought a trubor barrel blank and found a reamer on CL and cut it 9X19. very easy. getting the timing and fitting the slide was a different story.

used the reamer to cut my blank trubor barrel blank and was very easy. just go slowly with some oil and keep dropping it in till it fits. rock and roll

is there any difference in taking from the front or back of the slide? Or is lost weight lost weight?

I actually have a paralyzed right arm from birth. I shoot idpa and have an open gun. when i shoot idpa i shoot until im empty. To change mags i can grasp a mag but cant raise it above my waist so i bring the gun to the mag. makes some RO's nervous. I then stick/hook a finger on the breech-face to let it down. i personally don't like moving the gun around in my hand to hit the slide release (lefty). haven't had a malfunction with the gun in a match so I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Hardest thing was showing up that first time but i just explained my situation to the RO and he was very helpful and understanding. They don't care how you do things as long as you do it safely. I'm so glad i went because i am 100% hooked.

I used this for my first IDPA and was very helpful. I have a paralyzed right arm and reading this gave me the confidence to go to my first match. My RO was very helpful and understanding. had a blast and finished about in the middle.

i dont think that the fire rating matters. +1 to the American security and plus one to buying a bigger one than you ever dreamed necessary.

i don't know if steel has major/minor rules. that would be the only issue i could see.
