Do you know what the specs for the standard FO Spartan front FO sight? What is the recommended replacement size? I want to go to a all black front on Spartan 9mm, staying consistent with my other game guns.

Springfield Armory EMP9 in a MS VMII is my go to 1911 concealed carry.

That's the direction I'm leaning toward right now going with the S&A. I really like the Dawson no gap set-up but as I mentioned before I would like to stay on a budget. This is my first venture into ESP and later down the line if I decided to continue and shoot USPSA single stack... I would not want to have to fork out another $10 a piece extra for the 3-5 additional Tripp mags I would need. You guys have any pics of you different set-ups?

Questions? I'm about to receive my STI Spartan in 9mm. I have already decided on and ordered Tripp Research 10 round mags. I know by testimony from others that the Dawson Ice "no gap" model will not work with those mags and others, unless I change out the base pads to the Dawson ones. Any cons to using the "gapped" Dawson? Are there any other "Large" magwell that will work with the Tripp mags as is? Otherwise, any recommendations as to what "Small" magwell to go with using my gun/mag combo. I'm trying hard to restrain myself and make the transition to ESP/single stack as economical as possible, though still have decent quality gear. I have a set budget and want to stay within it or under if possible.

Try Mach 2 Tactical, I just bought some used but very good condition single 1911 mag pouches from a member here and the quality is excellent. I'd never heard of them before but am actually looking into getting a full size 1911 holster myself for a STI Spartan in 9mm. Hello all this is my first post on BE, but been lurking in the shadows for quite a while educating myself with the wealth of information here. I have been researching for the last couple of hours and can't quite find a confident conclusion to a starting load for Berrys 40 S&W 155gr HBRN Double Struck Plated Bullets back with TiteGroup. My goal is a practice / training load that will make minimum PF out of both my G23 and G27 for IDPA and USPSA production matches. I'll be using either CCI, Magtech, or Wolf primers. I have a couple of starting grain weights in mind but would like to get some more input from those that have experience with this or similar combo. Also curious as to what OAL to start with, my guns both feed flawlessly at 1.125". However during my research found that most were loading longer at 1.130 or more, I assume due to the round nose profile. Thanks for the help everyone.
