  1. I don't know enough about adjusting loads to maximize port performance but here's a video where Jerry talks about magnaporting his guns. Maybe you've already seen this.
  2. Here's what I stumbled upon too. Hammer Safety Inc.
  3. Looks like an improvised lock/block. In your third pic, with the piece flush with both sides of the hammer it would work in the frame, if slid out, the cut out portion seems like it would ride over the frame and prevent the hammer from moving. The divots on the bottom of the block, the spring you have on the side and the divot in the hammer where the cutout is, maybe would have been a ball detent to make it click. (just a guess, I did do a couple of google searches, didn't return anything related)
  4. To piggy back off GMan's post (hoping he doesn't mind), what is the weight difference between an alum body C-More and a poly one ?
  5. I apologize, its not the nodak, its the TechSights dove tail adaptor. http://www.tech-sights.com/product/920-barrel-dovetail-adaptor/
  6. I have a NoDak adapter for a Williams fiber optic front sight on one of my 10/22s, similar to this picture.
  7. Hi Kirby, Really appreciate your giving more info about that gun. Maybe I'm asking for too much here, but I wonder, if some spring/assist, can be built into the cylinder/crane opening/closing action that will "help" the large and heavy cylinder move when the hand nudges it during cycling/firing. Also, does anyone know for sure if the diameter of the XFrame cylinder is indeed bigger than an NFrame ?
  8. You could get a couple/few of the DS10 speed loaders : https://ds10speed.wordpress.com/ds-10-im-ds-10-impbt/ The 617 is an ammo hog
  9. If a group of us were interested and started a "group buy", get a gunsmith and tool shop lined up, collect enough money upfront for say a run of 100 conversions (cylinder assembly, barrel, hand, fitting and shipping) from our own N frames, it could happen, right ? I personally like the idea of an Xframe 10 shot 9mm but Xframes a fewer out there than Ns. PS: I apologize for thread drift.
  10. I stumbled upon these on Rich Wolfe's Facebook feed. One guy already has a question asking for details but no answer
  11. Have you guys heard of this one ? The dealer/seller says its "NIB" straight from the distributor. However, it has a lot of carbon on the front of the cylinder, on the top strap and on the blast shield forming a 1/3 circle above the firing pin bushing. more than a test firing, it looks like. It also has burrs on the barrel shoulder as it juts out the frame to meet the cylinder. The b/c gap seems even to fit the .005 feeler gauge easily on all chambers, .006 would not go in. The hammer and trigger finish is not even either, has some broken lines Is this "factory new normal" for a 929 ? or any PC gun for that matter ? Thank you for the answers so far.
  12. Hi Guys, I'm curious to know, if the problems on the 929s continued on recent purchases or were only in the initial run(s) ? Are there serial number ranges or up to a serial number on which the problems appear to be and after a certain number have stabilized ? Long time student on this forum. Learned a lot. Thanks.
  13. Not to hijack but to improve on this discussion. Any of you guys already using airsoft for practice convert their mags from this place. http://www.tactrainers.com/home_page.php Any feedback is appreciated. I'd think this would be kind of a saving on the green gas or propane or C02 expense in the long term and also save time re-filling the mags with propellant.
  14. Don't mean to hijack the thread and I'm sure I won't make it to the top of the game but I'm just curious. What is a good "type" of gun to have for rimfire steel ? Front heavy ? balance a little forward of the grip, rear heavy ? I shoot a Ruger Mark II Government model slab side with 6 7/8" barrel and I have fun. Will a polymer framed gun (22/45) make a noticeable difference ? I have borrowed the 22/45 lite at a shoot and it did feel better. Didn't shoot it long enough to compare, just had fun shooting the new/different setup. I'm not going to just go out and get a lite and dump the Mk2 but I just want to know what you all feel/know.
  15. Maybe the blackhawk unfluted cylinders fit the GP100. I wouldn't mind a moon clipped unfluted cylinder on my gp100 too.
