  1. Way cool! I reused the MK3 hammer and bushing. I fabbed a spacer that goes where the mag disconnect and spring went. Works like a charm...costs....ten cents and 20 minutes. Mags drop free. Took out the spring and detent ball on the slide release so I can slingshot the slide as well.

    Which one?

    Natural! Leather or lace?
  3. Mags drop free? Wow, mine have to be pulled out. Does the VQ trigger fix that?
  4. I believe they are....shotgun side match as well. I can't make it. Should make Levelland the following week.
  5. I'm not sure about it....a GM that I like to pump for information is of the opinion that a .22 is not that valuable as a training tool. But, I have found that I am improving by lots of dryfire and about 400-550 rounds of .22 a week. Then I shoot 150-250 of .40sw with my match gun. I feel that shooting some every day or every other day is making me improve and the cost of .22 is making that possible. 550 rounds of Fed bulk from wally world is $12.00.....I can swing that.
  6. I am certainly no reloading guru.....but I'm shooting a 200gr cast lead bullet on top of 4gr of W231. Out of a Glock 35 is has a PF of just under 170 and is very soft. The only drawback is that is is a bit smokey.
  7. He's been shooting limited minor....it's his only pistol...and he does alright. I just wasn't sure about the ruling. Thanks again.
  8. If he is shooting limited and it has a thumb saftey, then it does not need to be shot DA for the first shot. Could you point me towards the rule?
  9. A friend of mine is shooting the local club match with his Taurus PT-92. It can be shot DA/SA or SA only. He shoots in limited. At the last match, one of the guys told him that since the gun could be shot DA on the first shot, that it had to be shot DA on the first shot. If it is shot SA only the thumb safety would be used. What would the official ruling be?

    Which one?

    Field course. Paper or Iron?
  11. Not mine.....its my daughters. She shoots silhouette and plinks with it.........now our club is FULL of curmudgeons.....imagine a 16 year old girl....with a.....really unique gun......beating them.... That "ghost" camo on the rifle above is awesome! Really good work.
  12. You got that right. That was a ton of fun.....and the guys in the squad were a riot.
  13. I rooted for Phillie in there's....but now......GO RAYS!!!!!!!
  14. That was a blast! Fun, challenging stages, great bunch of shooters.....A-One day. The results are supposed to be on the Area 2 site soon.
  15. Darn reliable, easy to shoot, high(er)capacity handgun. My son started USPSA with one at age 14 and shot it until he entered the Marine Corp. He is on his second tour in Iraq and he can't wait to get back and shoot it some more.
  16. Try liberaly coating the bore in Kroil. Let it sit for a bit, then follow it with a jag and VERY tight fitting patch. The Kroil gets under any lead that is built up and the tight patch pushes it out. I had to do that to my 22/45 at the 8000 round mark. Lots more lead/copper/? came out than I expected.

    Which one?

St Andrews..all the way. Tiger or Arnold?
  18. We have Sabre Defence 11.5" uppers in stock... What Russell said.. LWRC is another upper that I have fallen in love with.
  19. With a basic understanding of exterior ballistics, some instruction in basic rifle marksmanship, and good equipment, 1000m is entirely attainable. Given the proper rifle and optics, much further than 1000m is in the realm of possibility. That all being said, I haven't seen many professional snipers broadcast their profession with a bumper sticker......I have seen them in copious amounts at gun shows.....you be the judge.
  20. Done! Thanks ya'll. Mags on the way.
  21. Who has the best price of IN STOCK g-22 mags?
  22. I know that around here it is easier to pull teeth than to get cops out to shoot. I am an instructor for a medium sized Sheriff's office. I offered free ammo to shoot a match. All the guys had to do was show up. Not one. I get lots of excuses, but I believe the underlying cause is that the guys are afraid of being embarrassed. Those that do come out, often don't come back. Ego is a powerful thing....
  23. Robert, good to meet you at La Luz last week. Looking forward to the match in LC. Todd
  24. Every sunset gets to me.....kinda one of the things that keep me here.
