  1. What is Trijicon doing to your RMR? And did Lone Wolf do the slide milling? I've been wanting to put together a open top Glock 34, it'll go on my Glock 35 set-up for Limited but want to start shooting Steel Challenge Open. Have you used a STS and Deltapoint before? Too many options.
  2. Sweet, how did you make that?
  3. Totally agree with Skydiver, you can practice your draw, mag reloads, and experiment with loads and springs in the mean time. I started with a used G35 in L10 until I got it the way I wanted it for Limited.
  4. I've been meaning to share this. I searched all the major forums for a good way to get a C-more railway to get a absolute co-witness on an AR15 and saw posts for 7/16" risers working. I tried looking for 7/16" risers and couldn't find any. I called C-more and told them what I wanted to do and they said they offer a "tactical spacer", a plastic spacer you place between the sight and base to get it to provide an absolute co-witness. It's only $10, $12 with shipping and it works well. You're going to need longer screws to attach the sight back to the base which they should ship to you with the spacer but I would remind them. It's not on their website. Hope this helps others trying to do the same with their C-more.
  5. HK and PMags have no problems with either. Haven't tried the C Products Stainless Steel mags but looks promising.
  6. +1 Sevigny Competitions w/ fiber optic front sight, I tried the TruGlo's TFO's, they work OK but not so great for competition.
  7. I've handled the Glock 34 and Springfield XD9 Tactical but not a Glock 17L. From your list I would go with the G34 hands down. But in your question you said you're planning to use it for NRA pistol and IPSC. The G34 is not approved for IPSC Production (5" barrel limit), it is approved for USPSA Production. If IPSC is the case, I would go with the G17. The XD9 Tac is approved for IPSC Production, USPSA Production but not IDPA SSP. The G17 is a great all around production/SSP pistol, I shoot one myself.
  8. add another vote for a STI Trojan
  9. Looking for an economic way to get into Open, already shoot a Glock 35 in Limited and I saw that S&J Customs has a convertible compensator and optics mount that can easily be attached to a Glock 34 or 35. Has anyone seen or used one? Convertible Compensator
  10. Pretty much agree with the majority. I've been shooting a G17 in IDPA and started shooting USPSA production and been very competitive with it. I cannot use an extended slide release in any Glocks, with my thumbs forward grip, I'll always activate it early. At the very least change the trigger connector to a 3.5#, if you want to do more, do a .25 trigger job. And that's about it. I'm not sure about the legality of using a Vanek trigger kit in IDPA. Just get some extra mags, lots of ammo, practice, and shoot some matches.
  11. Hello, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I'm relatively new to USPSA and IDPA shooting and currently shooting production, limited, and SSP. But I've always wanted to shoot open. I've seen a few post about Glocks in open and I'm thinking of getting a new upper for my G35 so I can shoot my limited gun in open and limited. I'm thinking of buying a LWD G35 slide ($200), LWD threaded barrel ($115), LWD comp ($60), Burris FastFire ($200), and other internals (extractor, firing pin, etc. $75). Is it possible to have a ported barrel and compensator? I'm thinking of having LWD port a threaded barrel for. Thanks.
