  1. Other than MGM, who all makes a Texas Star? Opinions of each manufacturer?
  2. OAL IS 1.12" I guess it's back to the range this week.
  3. I did some research on here looking for a load using 124gr JHP Montana Gold bullets and Titegroup. 4.0gr seemed to be a popular load. So I loaded them up and Chrono'd them but got an average of 810 fps. Does that sound right? I'm shooting it through a 5" XD 9mm. This seems to be a popular load but it won't make minor? I had a buddy chrono them for me and he said it shot it from about 6 ft away. I've shot a level 1 match with it and I shot the Pro-Am with it and it took steel down just fine. Did I make a mistake somewhere or were all of the chrono measurements off some how? (shot 20 rounds, 4 fliers of about 1200 fps)
  4. I've loaded a bunch of 9mm NT brass. The pocket is tight with the crimp, but I don't have issues seating the primer. Actually, I don't think I've ever crushed one.
  5. I think it's worth the money. When I'm loading, I'm constantly watching the cases at the powder drop station. I'm never looking at the primers. So I'm completely depend on the warning system.
  6. I recently bought one, The camera is OK if you just want to view on your TV, but the software has made a mess of my computer. Please, if any one else has one let me know how you like it. But more on the software. Any reason why you HAVE to use the software? Can you just transfer the videos from the camera to your computere? I just want to be able to put them on my computer.
  7. I'm looking for a good digital camcorder to record myself during matches (with the help of friends). At first I was looking at the Flip camera they have out, but now I think I'm looking more towards the Kodak ZI6. It's cheaper, bigger screed, HD, removable batteries, and can potentially hold more footage with an expansion bay. Does any one have one of these and can provide some good/bad feedback?
  8. +1000 for XDTalk, Pistolgear.com, and Springer Precision. Don's guide rod set is what you're looking for with the guide rod and spring. Have Scott Springer do your trigger job and you won't be disappointed. I had him do two for me and I'm extremely pleased. I haven't tried the drop in kits. But I know they come with instructions to do the minor fitting that is required.
  9. Cool. Thanks guys. I guess I'll stay with what I now works for me.
  10. I searched and found a few subjects, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Has anyone tried both of these grips? I currently have the Tru-Grip (with sandpaper-like texture). It's awesome for the overall grip and during competition. My only complaint is my forearm scraping the "sandpaper" as I walk. The Agrip stuff is like a soft felt. It would definitely be easier on the forearm. But I'm interested to see if it works just as well as the decals with sweaty palms. If so, I'd definitely like to give it a try. If it doesn't work as well, I'd just as easily stay with the Tru-Grip. I tried the Pro-grip, chalking feeling stuff this weekend and wasn't a big fan. Thoughts?
  11. It came with a peel washer, but I've never used one before. What is the best way to remove a single layer without negatively affecting the other layers.
  12. I'm installing a comp and I can't get the gas ports to face skyward. Through multiple tries, they always face low left. How do I get it to install right?
