I just looked online today and I made B in single stack at 65%! It turns out practicing works! This is a major accomplishment and I am extremely excited so I thought I would share it with the Benosphere.
They are all going to cycle at different times with different ammo. Winchester is claiming the SX3 is the fastest cycling gun when all things are the same.
Remington 1100 Tac-4 22" barrel ready to go: 7.75 lbs
Benelli M2 21" barrel needs extension: 6.9 lbs
Mossberg 930 SPX 18" barrel ready to go: 7.75 lbs
FN SLP 18" barrel needs extension with 2 more: 7.7 lbs
Winchester SX3 26" barrel needs extension: 7 lbs.
The Winchester SX3 is a gas gun and is the lightest when spec'd with the same barrel lengths. FN SLP/SX2 is the heaviest.
Couple more questions. Do you think the collator would work with black Molly bullets like Billbullets or bear creak? If die space was not a problem would you run the standard RCBS die or your Lee modification?
How is the feeding using the Lee parts? Also, did you ever try it the ways it was supposed to run from RCBS? And if so, how did it compare to the Lee feeding?
If you get a chance a couple pics backed out a little would be nice.
I bet an AR would still be quicker to run because of mag changes. It will also not be anywhere near as customizable as an AR considering the wealth of AR accessories. You can get an AR trigger pretty damn good... For these reasons I would run a .308 AR if given a choice. If the Kel-tec was super cheap though it might be a different story...
I think you guys are being overly critical. What is wrong with having a nice looking girl give a little blurb about their product? It gets your attention. Also, you can’t expect commercials from a company like EAA to have a budget large enough to hire George Lucas to their Youtube vids. They do not have limitless funds for commercials. Chill out people. Jeez...
I am going to have to agree with Brian and Chris. I tried one in my SS and I did not like it at all. It seemed like it gave a secondary recoil impulse where the muzzle flip is at its farthest point. Like an extra dip right at the top of the arc. I hope that made sense. I dont like them but YMMV.
If its the newer EZject run whatever dies you like. If it is the older wire ejector you should run a Hornady crimp die then whatever dies you want for the rest. The powder cop does not come with the press. It is an add on.
Good to hear it ran. As far as the bolt handle is concerned a NOB is a knob. I think the Choate looks cooler and there shouldn't be a performance difference. I would also replace the safety with the Vang one. I guess Mossy safeties are prone to breakage (or so I heard). Plus it is oversized. How does the recoil compare to an 1100 or a Benelli? If you are up there tomorrow I wanna shoot it.
