It shoots better now than when new.
either that or YOU learned something after shooting 35k rounds!

A friend has a lead on some mammoth ivory grips. While I'm perfectly willing to spend crazy money on a custom knife, I'd prefer a set of Larry Davidson grips on any of 1911's.

I had no idea there were 15 round Saiga .410 mags. Gotta tell my buddy about this!

Wonder which shop he works at in Seattle? I'm going there next time!

I stayed home to watch the live coverage this morning. Don't miss it in extended coverage.

I shot my STI 4.15 Tactical in L10 one month - just to make sure the gun ran well. It ran, I just shot it worse than anything else. I would say having taken 6 months off shooting was part of it, but also the short sight radius diminished my ability to find the sights quickly.

Since you're in TX, can you leave it with Benny for a while? He will perform an metamophorsis on it

Some people show up thinking they've innovated, but in truth they're a little embarassed that they didn't show up with the gear the cool kids are using. He'll either see the light, understand the rules, or give up the game. Do your best for the first two to happen and not the last one.
BTW, I use a nail belt when I shoot trap - it hold 25 shells perfectly. I don't know what the "real" trap shooters with the nice vests and cool pouches think about my nail belt...I just keep showing up with it!

I too was so excited when I placed a backorder and it said 4-5 weeks. The expected delivery date rolled around this week, and now I'm pushed out another month as well. Sigh...

Congrats Matt! So was your new scope mount a self-directed case study?

Perhaps Chet could get permission from Michelle to use her photo for the poster to sell, and BigHugeLabs sells the poster - I would think Chet could take orders and distribute:

Not sure if that's more a pain than it's worth, but it's a cool poster!

Great job! There's some pretty good shooters in that field. I'm calling inside fix Who's the match director, I want to file a protest What's amazing is that you've taken the reigns at Renton and been really developing as a shooters - I'd imagine that's a difficult balancing act. See you at next month's match!

You should be healed up just in time to shoot that sweet wheelie at the Crazy Croc!

I'm addicted to connectivity and the internet. I didn't realize this problem, until it was pointed out that many people worldwide suffer from this crippling consumption of time.

John Larson built a really sweet single stack last year that's on his website: www.jplprecision.com
The action was glassy smooth - when the owner let me shoot it, I was really impressed.

Here's a quick and dirty answer:
If you're shooting an STI 2011, a reduced frame might be more helpful if you've got small hands.

I've been happy with my JPL - www.jplprecision.com - it's a bit of a wait right now, but well worth it. I got to test out a bunch of different configs to figure out what I like the best so John could really design me the best gun for my shooting. I'd recommend getting started in USPSA with whatever you've got now, then make buddies with the open shooters and try all of their guns. There are so many factors that go into building an open gun - for the investment it's a good idea to have a sense of what you want (full size/shorty, light slide? heavy magwell? steel mainspring housing?) - if you can determine some of these things at the outset you'll save yourself money in the long run.
Welcome to the darkside as they say.

I have a variable speed that I got as a kit from Costco. Works great for lots of things.

ALRIGHT!
And when you say 400+ rounds, is that min round count? Or how many you should bring. Got 500 rounds set aside just for this.

This is a great idea! At work the caf. encourages us to use the regular plates and silverware even if we're going back to our desks to eat. They have little drop off stations in the break rooms. I think my gf will be very willing to join your revolution!
