  1. Well I have been busi doing other stuff and havent sent it back yet but its about to go. I figure they will lick their wounds and go on. I will let everyone know! FWIW this one has WAY less than 10K on it. Larry P
  2. Breachface went Bye Bye on my G35. Started having Jamms at an IPSC match LOTS of them. Couldnt figure it out. Got home and started cleaning it went to clean the breach and HOLY SHH.............. Larry P
  3. Team Sand Sent me an email telling me I need to work on Target transitions. Thanks Matt. I spend about 1/4 as much time on tgt transitions as I do reloads and Draws. which means I never should have gotten that e-mail When I live fire practice tgt trans I can surprise myself on occasion. I tell myself what I am going to do and do it. In a match it seems like ALL the little things I know about shooting get forgotten. TGT trans, Sight focus, watching the reload in. keeping the finger on the front of the mag, dont move your head on the draw. Look at the spot your moving to. Visualizing (there never seems to be enough time for that) ALL the little stuff that really makes a difference gets forgotten and I may do it I may not. Is this a visualization thing? Should I be that detailed in my visulation? I have a hard time thinking more dryfire would help me. I have done enough reloads in the last 9 months that NOTHING in my reload should have to conciously be thought about...... I have been noticing that the little stuff that I intend to try in a match seems to be totally forgotten until the ride home. This time I SOed (as I do at most sanctioned matches I shoot) and I think that hurts me sometimes. I guess I am not as checked out on this visulation thing as I thought I was. I hope I am making sense. TIA Larry P
  4. Hey Matt, Arent you training yourself to shoot those WHITE targets...... Real Good! Larry P
  5. So did they ever get together!!!!
  6. THANKS A LOT. I consider that a HEX by you Seriously I pulled it out tonight and tried it compared to another Glock and knew at that point it was FUBAR. Sure enough I could see it was bent, when I tried to pull it our it broke. I tried a dental pick - AINT happenin. If anyone knows how PLEASE share it! SHEEEEET! Just GREAT! INDESTRUCTABLE MY @$$! First a Slide now a penny part. Of course Dad and PaPaw said I could tare up an anvil with a rubber mallet!! On the plus side it wasnt anything I was doing wrong Thanks for the help Guys
  7. Id like to hear that if you wouldnt mind. Larry P
  8. You know Ted, I think you have a VERY good point here! For some reason people seem compelled to call HQ about minutia that should never be looked at to begin with. If we keep this up the Eq Check at a major match will take longer than the Match! Sounds like fun to me! Larry P
  9. No the mags were seated and the problem would come up about 4-8 rounds into a string not after the first shot. all 10 round mags. TSC, You also saw me pull on the mag to ensure it was seated and it was. DOH I didnt even think to check and see if it was the same mags doing it. I also had the two that wouldnt drop from the gun with me today and I havent shot them at all since I borrowed them from you. I think my uh ohs were worse than yours BTW, Bang Jam, clear jam where the hell is the mag, that was that black thing i saw, reload, gee hope that doesnt happen again. Bang Or OH SHEEEEOOT hit the mag its falling out. Oh yea I was watching the sights SURE I was. perfect -0 hit on a NT, sure I saw the sights the whole time! Ive had three people tell me on other forums to check the spring. Apparently David Sevigney had the same problem a while back. Think I might shoot him an e-mail too! Out of 60 rounds it dropped the mag 4 times so it was to random to try to make it occur. Ive been trying to shoot with a more relaxed strong hand to improve my splits but thats the only thing I have changed. Even when trying to push the release with my weak hand by gripping HARD I cant do it! Larry P LOST
  10. Shot the local IDPA match today. We shoot two runs. First run was OK no gun related problems just Larry related. Second run I had FOUR times that the Mag ejected itself. I have been shooting "this" gun for almost a year and have never had this problem with this gun or any other Glock, or 1911 for that matter. It has the extended release but still I have never had this happen before in any of my Glocks and they all have it except my 23 that I carry most of the time. I checked my grip to see if I was doing it with my Support hand, but if I am, I dont see how. I can, if I TRY, hit it with my "social" finger on my strong hand, but I have to TRY. Mags look OK and the Release looks OK Anyone seen this before? Im at a loss. Larry P
  11. Somewhere on this forum I believe there is a letter from Dru to another shooter saying its is illegal. So now if you touch mine its deactivated! Oh and the reason is because I grip so high that I actually engage the grip safety. The cool bump pads are all but USELESS for me they should be higher. YES I would carry that way and have but I carry a Glock most of the time. The Grip safety was an answer to a problem of another era and "IMO" serves no purpose in modern pistolcraft! Larry P
  12. Matt, Congrats man. Shes a beauty. Glad they are OK. Sex life ????? Ali is 10 Anna is about to be 5, I have just enough of a sex life to get one more...... RULE(S)???? ONLY ONE RULE! If you bring her back the way she left, YOU CAN LEAVE THE WAY YOU CAME! Youll be putting your Plaques on the wall so boys can see them too I suppose! Congrats again and it is the best thing in the world, even better than shooting. Larry P
  13. Steves a great guy. His knowledge of shooting is impressive and I bet he can talor a class to whatever you want. Not a part of PSI I just consider him a friend. Here is a link; http://www.psishooting.com Larry P
  14. Well at least move to EXP, thats were all the rest of the SBers are! Larry P
  15. 2001 Mike Brown used a G21 to take CDP Exp and was 7th in CDP. IIRC he had a little trigger work, sights, and a grip reduction. Larry P
  16. I think that match was a bit harder than everyone had thought and I really dont know WHY. The stage I ran had some long tight shots. The car stage was a lesson in quick accurate shooting and NOT to run down the side of the car to make up a -1 (And I was TOLD beforehand not to do it DUH! Oh well only cost about 4 seconds) JDs stage - well - Hmm, For all the gripes Ive heard about that stage (deserved), how about shooting it FIRST (cold) and BLIND (as in I didnt see the stage at all except from the start position) But those were the only three stages that were difficult IMO and they werent really "Difficult" either, so what was it that was so deceiving?. Larry P
  17. But he wasn't changing any rules . . . he was clarifying that such a rule didn't exist. Did you call BW yet to ask about cleats? Rhino, Nope not gonna! I dont care one way or another! I doubt my ankles would handle the stress anymore! The thing I am adamant about is that everyone understands that whats said in the TJ means NOTHING unless its stated that "this is the new way, signed BW" Larry P
  18. YUP! In a round about way though! I wanted to talk to BW at the Nats about it but every time I was around him and no one else was there was always something more important going on, like shooting or SO meetings or or or! LP
  19. You didnt hear me say anything about people being HAPPY with it! FWIW the guy that wrote the STUPID article about Cover was WRONG. I still dont know how it got published. THAT is from a VERY reliable source! I wish they would put a section in there (TJ) for rules clarifications or at the end of articles they would clarify IDPA HQ postitons on anything thats like the cleats and cover and Glock Triggers cover etc. Larry P
  20. Rhino, When BW changed rules in the TJ in 2000, he made it VERY clear thats what he was doing. (It was stated) I didnt see that with Kens article. I also remember seeing a thing from Ken on Glock triggers, I havent seen that come to pass. The TJ is NOT the rule book, I got that from BW, I didnt make it up! Larry P
  21. Ive started keeping what little hair I have left really short. I really think my speed has picked up a bit from less "wind drag"! Pretty soon I will just shave it and pick up that last couple seconds shooting the classifier! Larry P
  22. GUys, I dont CARE what you wear, let me know and I will change my atire as well. The TJ is like the Letters to the editor section of the paper. It means SQUAT. IF you dont believe me call HQ and ask! There was a person that wrote an artical last issue that said you should PE or FTDR a person for not using cover correctly including sticking your gun past cover. BS you cant find that anywhere in fact you will find the opposite! That EXACT issue was covered by BW in 2000 TJ saying that was NOT the position of IDPA and clubs should NOT do it. The TJ is NOT like "IPSC Front Site" TJ is OPINION and thats all. In the above example BW even stated that this would be considered a rule change for the Sport! Like I said call and ask but I promise the TJ is NOT official! Larry P
  23. Ron, I didnt mean you didnt know anything! I was just hoping for more responses. I appreciate all the input I can get. I guess it should have been obvious that this one is going to be different for people based on their abilities. I just thought maybe you guys could give me a "this is the way to do it"! I am sorry you took it as an insult, I assure you that was not my intent! Thanks for your input. Jack, Thanks for your input! Are you gonna come shoot with us again at CASA? Larry P
  24. It is! Well Ron apply it to a POINT heavy IPSC stage and tell me what you would do! IDPA is simply a very point heavy stage every time IMO! I think I have it answered the question in my head but I was kinda hoping for some input from the guys that KNOW movement and shooting a lot better than I do! It may be a wash! Maybe its too subjective becasue of ability? Maybe I need to spend some time setting it up and running it to see! OH Sandman, You ready? Larry P
  25. Two Problems, 1 the TJ is NOT official guidelines unless specifically noted by Bill Wilson. 2 Hack is no longer on the BoD so what he says is not law, an may or may not conform to what BW thinks! LP
