  1. Orient makes a titainium automatic pilot watch. Take a look at it on eBay. Orient watches are very good quality at a great price point, and are widely available in Europe.
  2. I have/had it. I started thinking about what I going to do when the pain was too much to walk. I went out and bought some ugly ECCO shoes with an arch support that made me think that I had somehow put a golf ball under my arch. My heal pain was gone as long as I had the ECCO shoes on, anything else hurt like **LL. Later I got some orthotics with a high hard arch for use in other shoes that work fine also. I find that I need the arch support all the time now. If I go without the support I can feel the heal pain again (It may have something to do with the extra 40 pounds I need to get rid of). ECCO Shoe You might want to try some of these Walk Fit. At least they are cheap. I am not a doctor, I do not know what I am talking about (just ask my wife).
  3. Doh! Rosa's Mexican food
  4. Rancho De Chimayo' - Chimayo, New Mexico Rosa's Mexican Food - Tucson Molina's Midway - Tucson
  5. First, excuse me for butting in. The Match does not have the cone type barrel. I have one in .40 to look at. Art
  6. Maybe this should be in humor, but it is a question that don't fit anywhere. Why don't we use fried pork skins as packing material instead of styrofoam peanuts?
  7. Mexican Bad Guy: "What you got in that thing?" Bob Valdez: "I told you, just something for rabbits" Valdez is coming
  8. I agree with Kelly and Stealthy. As long as shotgun stages remain shooting not loading tests it's ok with me. If you want to test the fast fingers, an empty shotgun start would do that. I would rip the rest of my thumb skin off with that kind of start. Not wanting, just saying.
  9. The mags for my match .40 did the same thing. Pop the mag pads off and file/sand the part of the base pad that fits up against the frame. It is best to use a wide flat file or piece of 1x2 wrapped with sandpaper to take a little bit off. It does not take much, maybe 1/32 of an inch. Cut slow, try fit, repeat untill done. YMMV. Art
  10. Good name for a MX rider. Did you ever get mistaken for Bob Hannah. I still want my old 1971 CZ 250 back. It was one of the top stupid things I ever did to sell that bike. I bought that bike from Ryan Villapoto's grandfather. Wow am I old! Art
  11. Many years ago I had a Montesa Cota trials bike like this bike it was a blast to ride over stuff you had a hard time climbing.
  12. I believe in what Gale McMillan had to say on rifle barrel break in Gale on break in.
  13. Clark custom guns has one less M1A brake now. I have been thinking about getting one for a long time. Kurt's post prompted an impluse purchase.
  14. I know this is not the same as the Witness Elite Limited, but you can get the Witness Elite Match here in Tucson for about $460.
  15. I think the Shaolin Workout fits the bill.
  16. I just found a comp from Sabre Defense called the "Ultra Efficient Gill-Brake" in the bag of stuff I picked up from the SMM3G prize table. The baffles angle back, kind of like what Erik was talking about. I don't know how well it works.
  17. Here is what Gale McMillan had to say about barrel break in McMillan on break in
  18. One of the guys on my squad said the external temperature gauge on his truck was flipping between 33 and ICE at about noon Saturday. We shot four stages on Saturday, started at 7:00 and I forget when we finished. We had one guy on the squad go stage II hypothermic, no joke.
  19. You can get them from Buy Brown. He is located in Tucson and should be in the SMM3G vendor tent.
  20. I shot the Desert Classic in 92 (I think). P9 9x21 192 PF .
  21. On stage 8 (I think) off SMM3G 2004, Mark Buchanan snagged a little buzz worm and moved it to safety off the stage. I wish I had a picture to post. Many in the squad were aghast and imprested simultaneously.
  22. The Smith & Wesson 2x22 pistol scope available from CDNN works great on my M1A scout. It is not mil-dot but it is low-buck with very clear and bright glass.
  23. David Brown Buy Brown makes some nice kydex pouches.
  24. If I had shot SMM3G with my AR I would have used 1.5 all the way on stage 7, or any stage like it (point blank and long range from the same shooting position). Most of the time I would crank up and down YMMV. I shot Heavy Metal this time, what blast. BTW, I went back and looked at the winning times on stage 7 of the SMM3G for each class. TS = 47.06, TI = 54.41, HM = 48.32. Looks like the top of the heap is close regardless of the tools they use. I think it has someting to do with knowing your zero all the way out.
