De-burring a flash hole in a case will give far better accuracy gains than the micro millisecond difference between when a mid length or rifle unlocks! Bordering on urban legend in my view.

I use a standard A2 sling with a rear QD and I just make a loop on the front to go over and around the mag tube. Shorten it up so the front loop can't quite go over the end of the tube.....wa la, done for less than 10 bucks. It has always worked for me!

308,s in general are WAY over gassed! I personally would never build one without an adjustable gas block. Always go rifle length if it is an option. This all applies for full weight or light weight components.

I'm firmly in the Binary trigger is the stupidest innovation in a long time and anyone who owns one should be illeaglized, and contrary to the rules of common decency and humanity camp.
Arguing semantics is like knitting with det cord. It doesn't make anything useful. It takes a bunch to set it off, but once set off it turns into nothing and leaves only scorched black marks and lasting impressions.

MAN !!!! You have lost a ton of weight!!! Great job amigo!!!! Just wanted to say.

We really don't have malls where I live, but we have Nijas out the wazoo! Maybe we can agree on key board Ninjas, or YouTube Ninjas, or ........ Wait....... Craining neck Ninjas!
Good read Stealthy!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that the proper response is."blow me you young punk"! I'm still shooting irons at 57. You young Euro trash guys seem to need optics to make up for......well you get the idea! :-)

I have found that anything with a glass or poly carbonite lens has magic in it that I do not understand, therefore they are evil. Stay holy and use iron sights.

I thought buying a CNC machining center was great advice, but it would probably take away from the torid pace of basic handgun and reloading classes.

The "guys" at REI also carry around a little bag of chalk dust on their belt so they can draw washable talismans to keep away evil spirits instead of being armed. I guess a granola crunching metro-sexual would have such soft skin as to blister easily, but we are talking 3-gun here, please stay within the confines of at least guys ok???

Single best stay, motel 6 in Ft. Smith Arkansas. Had a couple of hookers plying their trade a few doors down and the "walk of shame" was a thing of beauty as the johns walked by as we sat outside smoking cigars and sipping whiskey.
Most consistent, motel 6, cause the last one we stayed at in Grants New Mexico had a raid going on for prostitution as we checked in......we'll leave the light on for you!

Because that is the way many 3-gun entities do it. USPSA does it that way because each and every skill in 3-gun should be equally important. To put it more simply, it,s their match and their rules.

Why Duluth products?

Shirts, smirts, those thing don't give you blisters, go troll some other thread like who else runs an absolute zero.

No I haven't but 1-1.5x down from the end stop wouldn't be very far off. Maybe a couple of inches at 300 yards at most.

Once upon a midnight dreary..... we wore our jungle boots with no socks what so ever, but modern 3-gun has shown me many things. I now realise that winning performance can not be accomplished without the proper socks, hence the thread.

Nugget, Max loves cats, usually after a proper Sub-sonic jellying! He really doesn't like them when they are fresh and scratchy.

Ahhh....the J.J. approach!!!

I am packing for Nationals and am really at a loss, what is the best sock for 3-gun. I know a guy can get by with socks that are ment for just pistol matches, but they seem to lack the extra cushioning needed when carrying all the extra gear 3-gun requires. Do you guys recommend thick wool for the cushioning? A 30/ 70% blended sock like the military? Straight cotton and rely on the properties of your fancy shark shoes? Or go with full synthetics to match you race shoes? A last minute addition is really throwing my into a qaundry and that is the Tommy Copper compression socks with anti-microbial copper bits?.....any help is greatly appreciated. I am also wondering about the best tooth paste for 3-gun, but this thread is vital for me and other shooters so I won't dilute it. THANKS!!

I have yet to see a FFP reticle that you can even begin to see"your holds" at less than 4x. So assuming you have a 1-6X you only have 3 powers of magnification where the reticle does any good at all. I agree with a FFP scope for a precision rifle where the magnification is great enough that you can easily see the "holds" of the reticle, but for 1-6X, or even 1-8X a FFP reticle is akin to a screen door on a submersible. The second focal plain scope is what is needed.

Rolling Thunder always seems to be highly rated, and I personally run this comp, It works for me. Tried the SJC, didn't find it better than a Thunder, but a hell of a lot louder and more abrupt even to the shooter.

The nerve! Charging a fair price for a quality product. Shame on MGM! Feel the Bern, he will stop these price fixing corporate fat cats!
