WOW,hot topic. I don't know sometimes I agree with the fact that local clup usually don't have the best equipment or like our club good equipment butthe same few guys setting up every match. I live 1.5 hours from the range so it's a little hard for me to get there early enough to help but I have tried, and when I do, it seem like they don't want the help. I feel that yes, this a game and if you ain't pushin' the limits your not in the spirit, but you have to consider that alot of local matches are setup that morning and maybe those stages have never been set up before ant longer field courses could have a lot of places like that to be missed. If it were my stage, I would think, cool someone figured out a better way, that would help me in how I would plan future stages and look for things like that in walk throughs more. The guys I shoot with usually have a better plan than what I come up with. My .02 Jason

How I see it. USPSA/IPSC is a sport. All sports have rules. We have a great thing in that we have quite a bit of influence on changing the rules, but we have to remain within the rules, that's what makes more of a challenge. I don't want toopen another huge can ofworms here,but look at the DOH in SS huge deal but it's a rule. I really don't want to offend the shooter that was the recipient of this call, but you need to read the rules and if your not sure, ask. it wasprobably something he didn't even think about, not something he was trying to get away with. This brings something else up, I need to read up on the rules,maybe we all should. Jason

Jeeze, I just got my limited gun and now everyone is going to 6". Well I guess I just need to practice enough to kill it and then maybe I'll be good enough the equipment will make a difference. How long should a gun look new any way. Aren't these guys shooting 2-4K a week? Oh yeah, thanks for the pics, neat to see what the top dogs are using. Jason

You need to but a cutter on the end so if you run out you can just cut a hole in the target.

My number one thing right now is practice, live and dry, as much as possible. You need to practice well and learn as you practice, not just shoot 200 rounds in an hour. See what the point of every drill is and concentrate on it. Start slow in a new drill and see how to do it perfect then pick up speed. Oh yeah and don't forget to push yourself. I just got back into competitive shooting about 10 months ago after about a 5 year break. After my first match back I told my wife "I forgot how much fun this is, you might need to get a job." she didn't like that very much. Sorry to ramble. Number 2 HAVE FUN! Jason

Well, another one bites the dust. I would suggest writing them. I just cancelled my account and told them why. It is going to save some time as in one less place to check for parts. Maybe it will hurt thier business a little, but they probably won't care. Jason

I have been using winchester large pistol and recently came upon 1000 wolf primers to try. Long story short my loads are at least as if not more consistent and we just ordered directly from the importer at 85.85 per 5K shipped. I haven't tried small yet, my 1st .40 is enroute but the large seem to be working great. Jason

Just my 2 cents. At SS Nationals I used Berry's bullets. I almost didn't make Major 165.2. when I chrono'd before the match with three chrono's and at two elevations theywere at 172-173PF. We shot with a very prominent gm at L10 Nationals and he said something about going minor with plated bullets at a match. Something about the round actually shrinking after a week or so being crimped in the case. I still use berrys on occasion but mostly Bear Creek moly coated bullets they are a little cheaper. Next year I am definately using a premium jacketed for the big matches. But after I finish this I'm going to the Cabelas web site. Jason

I was wondering if anyone is using SPS Magazines. Looks like Doctor USA is selling the whole deal for $105 and they advertise 21+1 capacity. Looking to finally get into limited after bugging my shooting buddies about it for so long. Any info will be helpful. Thanks, Jason

A friend is thinking of going minor in Single Stack. We have been talking about the round count advantage. I guess the scores at SS nationals kind of speak for themselves but there are some things to think about, I haven't looked at the results for this, but who was shooting minor, and were they using 9 or 10 round magazines, and if 10 were they working. I understand Virgil Tripp is close to coming out with some good 10 round 9mm magazines. I guess the only way to find out is to try. Jason

I just broke mine the other day during practice. I took it off the prize table at L10 nationals. It broke in the same place as the other ones. about 750 rounds through it. I like shooting with it, but if you can't trust it.... I'll try it again if STI replaces it, but if it break I'll be posting on the classifieds.

I grew up in Tucson and went to Tucson High. I would stay away from that high school if that is the age of your kid(s). Marana school distict or Amphi didstrict would be much better. Oro Valley is very nice, should be in Amphi district/CDO much better. Plus you would be relatively close to where the USPSA matches are and only about 100 miles from area 2. Jason
