  1. Thanks guys. I have seen the M&P with the Dawson adjustable rear sight, and was able to shoot one. But... I'm looking for a "Bomar" TYPE of rear sight (not just the type of sight picture) that has been successfully installed on a M&P. Maybe Champion that I think is now Ken's sights, the Ed Brown, or STI version. Of all the options I have found for the M&P, I have not found a BoMar TYPE. Rich at Canyon Creek mounts that "type" of rear sight on the tactical XDs he sells as "production ready", and I have seen them on Glocks. Just never on a M&P. I have a 9L coming and am getting all my info in order. I love the look of the BoMar TYPE buried into the slide and was hoping it had been done before and photos were available. In the weeks to come I'll be picking your minds for what you have done to yours.
  2. Did a search and could not find a photo or any discussion on the use of Bo-Mar type rear sights on a M&P. I'm hoping someone can direct me to a thread, or to a photo of one installed. Heck, maybe it's not an option at all. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. Paul
  3. Thank you Scott. From someone who pins the two together, these photos explain another option. I thank you. I wish you and this awesome looking blaster the best. Wow, did you ever do good stuff! (ps...I'm stealing these photos...) Paul B.
  4. Wow! Great job Scott. Shoot it yet????? I can't wait to see it in person and check out the one piece MSH/GSafety.
  5. New reliable in the white waiting to go to Ion Bond.
  6. Years ago I had the same problem and the gunsmith made a fast fix by taking a sharp punch and made dimples in the bottom of the dovetail slot in the slide. Then he used green loctite. The raised edges of the dimples and the green did the trick for me. The sight fit tight and stayed put. I shot that gun for a year or more and never had another problem with it. That was for a fast fix.
  7. The best yet for me. Most of all it locks my hand in a very consistant grip besides providing that big target for the mags.
  8. Nah, they have got to contact him for the price. Let me just say that I have a used Tech Well SP, a couple of S&As, and a STI DT or whatever they are called, laying around here somewhere. This new one was less expensive, much better fitting, and really effective. Any gun I get now will have these mag wells. His Para ones are equally impressive. I'm not a spokesman, but am surely a fan of good quality work at a great price. Nuff said by me. Hope you all liked my new mag well!!!!!
  9. You got that right Rob. He'll be at Sir Walter this week-end and I'll shoot this baby in it's first match. Paul Paul, I will be there too. Glad you're gonna shoot Limited!!!!!!!! SS is all yours! We are both shooting Limited, someting different and a little frindly competition among old friends, just for bragging rights of course! Glad to hear it! I'll see you there.

  12. This is Jim's web site, he has several pictures in a slide show if it along with other products he makes. Go check him out, he is a great gunsmith and guy! http://www.jimjoycecustom.com/ Rob is correct. Go to his web site and contact him. Send me a PM and I can send you additional pics if you need them. The ones I have on my two guns are aluminum, but he makes them in delrin also.
  13. It is a button made by Wilson. It's corners have been rounded and next week it'll be cut down even more to a small oval.

  18. Thank you for the information. That certainly helps me track it down. Paul
  19. Does anyone remember a single stack in .38 Super called the Witch Doctor? I think it was a gunsmith's signature series type of gun from the late 80's, but cannot find any info on it. Who made it? What was different about it? Photos? Thank you. Paul
  20. Jim Joyce Custom. Makes them from scratch to your specs. He's got a web site and his contact info is listed there.
  21. Contact Jim Joyce at JimJoyceCustom.com He just finished a custom one for a Tanfo shooter and it's awesome. You can contact him via his web site.
  22. JimJoyceCustom.com Jim Joyce is a shooter and gunsmith that takes his time and does it right. Excellent fabricator. If you can think it, he can make it. Lives in W. Virginia and shoots all over South and North Carolina, Virginia, W.Virginia. His single stack mag wells are unreal! He built a single stack .40 for me that shoots into one hole and runs like the proverbial sewing machine. Fast turn around time too.
