My pref is for Fed, followed by Win. Dito on tossing Amerc...
As an aside many folks have no issues with running mix and match head stamps, but I prefer to stick to single headstamp. Bob Londrigan did an article for front sight on the subject of brass (http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/0805.htm)it makes for interesting reading.

If the hit were entirely inside the scoring area of the no shoot and hit the steel I would think that was a ref, since the bullet passed entirely through the scoring area of the target, and targets are deemed to be impenetrable..

If they will cycle in your gun, the B&P reduced recoil slugs are my choice.

Hmm... just for going to the range for a local match it goes in a rug in my bag. For flying a pelican case in my suitcase.

Wow... brave man
I am always nervous about saying 25 yards and zero in the same breath. Any chance you can get to a longer range to at least check the windage?
Good luck and let us know how it works out.

If you load only 1 round in the magazine will it lock back when you shoot it dry? If not that may imply a problem with the gas system of some kind. The buffer and spring can impact cycling. Which carbine buffer did you use?

You could put a something on the end of the handguard to index your hand on so you don't let it slide to far forward.
Good idea. I do that now on the 16". A two inch piece of rail at 9 oclock. I'm afraid that it will not matter if I'm off the front end or not. Near the end could be painful.

I like the gear sector handstop... Makes a a good barricade wing as well.

Which powder are you guys pushing these with? I'm thinking Benchmark.

If you just have to have something like that, and don't want to build it for yourself, try pkfirearms. You might find something on this page that would work for you http://www.pkfirearms.com/Noveske_Barreled_Custom_Uppers/83/c

My open gun drips oil about like an old Harley... (if you leave it sitting anywhere for a while it marks its territory.)
-
There are several folks who can do it for you. But if it were mine it'd go to Jim.
-
Absolutely correct about there being 3 gauges and the order of use.

Just finished shooting all 8 stages. I think the farthest shot was 11 yards. We started at about 1030 and finished at about 630
Only 11 yards? Really?
Well... Some of that may depend on where you shoot them from.

On the way down now...
Looking forward to tomorrow...

All, looking for opinions on Large Rifle primers for loading 0-150yard blaster ammo for my DPMS LR308 (might also run some of this ammo through my H&K 91).
My normal primers for loading .308/.260 would be either the Federal GM210M or the CCI BR2 but using that stuff seems like a waste for this purpose.

Pig brake.
11.5" was the magic minimum for a reliable gun
I like the idea of the pig brake. Go Hogs.
I've also been looking at the 11.5 but I'm leaning toward the 12.5.
Hearn,
Give me a call...

You might consider one of these...

Friend of mine sent me this from a blog he reads. Simply amazing to see this.

If it matters the load will be subsonic (probably somewhere in the 950 to1000 fps range) and shot out of a 1911/2011 style pistol with a chamber cut/throated to allow loads out to around 1.20"... and a barrel with a twist rate suitable to stabilize a bullet of that weight.

Found some cast 160g bullets here: http://www.thebulletworks.net/category-s/20.htm. Could try calling Fiocchi and find out who makes their 158g jacketed bullets.
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I can't use cast bullets in this application.
I could probably get away with plated (or maybe even polymer) is someone knows of a source for those in this weight range.

Just a different perspective, why would people want to know what EVERYBODY is shooting? I think we will end up seeing a list with 350 Eotechs and Aimpoints, M4 stocks and handguards w/vertical foregrips, and single point slings. While all good combat gear, not really cutting edge 3gun gear. To bring the newbies up to 3gun speed, they probably need to know what the game gear is, not the other way around. I think it would be more informative to poll the Pro side.
Might be useful the second year as information to include in a sponsorship request packet to go out to potential sponsors? Also to let them know that they are spending their sponsorship dollars at an event attended by their target market?

Like the title says I am looking for a source for 158 gr or heavier jacketed 9mm bullets.
I shot some of the Fiocchi 9mm 158gr Sub-Sonic FMJ ammo and was wondering if anyone knew of a source for the bullet used in this load or something similar.

Dillon Blue... Nice touch.

Between entries that we have in hand that we need additional information on, and entries that we know are in the mail, we are down to 10 Saturday Slots.
Friday remains open, for those that can shoot then. Right now there are only 24 shooters (mostly range staff/ROs)then. Friday will start at 10am.

I didn't know there were that many single stack guns in this part of the country. Guess the anniversary must have drawn some of them out of the safe.

In the new one the dot appears to be 2moa at 4x, same as the kdot.
