  1. Sharyn, Fantastic idea! Concur with previous comments on showing mere mortals as opposed to a slew of Gun Gods and Goddesses burning down the range, as well as highlighting the diversity of guns that can be used. I've shown your stuff at work on several occasions and everybody loves it. It als serves as a starting point for discussion and questions that are very hard to have without the visual reference that video provides. I gave a copy of some of your vids to a co-worker and he showed it to his teenage son who was enthralled and should be at the WAC this weekend. Can't get that kind of advertising with a magazine or flyer. Showing clips from some training classes would be helpfull as well as some folks dry firing. Donn
  2. who's selling them and what's the current price? Donn
  3. KennyA, I just use the engraver and stencil set that came with my Dremel tool. Not as sexy as what Bob does at Brazos but it works for keeping them straight. I number the bottoms of the base pads, Dawsons, so it's easy to sort them in my bag. Donn
  4. Dillon carbide sizer and the others are Dillon as well. I've started using the spray silicone (you can get at hardware/auto parts stores) for lubing instead of the dillon case lube. Put the brass in a bag, spray in the silicone, shake and dump in the case feeder. not as sticky as the Dillon so its easier for clean-up. I just got some hornady 55 fmj's from Midway. May not be the best price but they were in stock so i got em. Donn
  5. Varget works for me but it isn't the only one out there. I use the Dillon powder measure for the close range stuff but use a single stage Redding with competition dies and an RCBS Chargemaster for the longrange (greater than 200m). Donn
  6. After studying the physical requirements of soldiers in battle the Army is looking more and more at plyometrics. Explosive speed for short distances. We push up from the prone, run from cover to cover in 3-5 second rushes, flop down, push up to engage a target and then start all over again. Very similar requirements for action shooters, minus the dodging incoming rounds. Google plyometrics and you will get plenty of programs and references. Be advised that because of the explosive nature of most of the programs flexibility is key so make sure you are warmed up before starting. Most good programs will smoke you in 30 minutes or less, and if maintained 2-3 times a week with a normal cardio/weightlifing sustainment routine, will significantly increase your speed and agility. The box jumps are great, as are most of the sadistic agility drills we did in football practice. Depending on your level of fitness start with a few reps, do three sets and then move to another drill. Continue for 30 minutes or until just short of passing out. Build up to 25 reps for 3 sets and you'll be launching out of the shooters box like a bullet. Donn
  7. I don't remember ever seeing any propane around but I might be able to get it off the local economy if the terrorists haven't cornered the market. How durable are those guns? If you have one could you bring it to the next Ruskin match? Thanks. Donn
  8. Thanks. Going in theater, military mail won't ship hazmat. Could dry fire with a beretta but that would suck.
  9. J, no sweat for me metering TG, thousands of rounds, always works on my 650. did you sell/trade off all of that 350 yet? if not i may be close enough to do a link-up in the next two months if you are still interested in moving some of it. Donn

I just finished a box of 2,500 remington in .38 super and didn't have one problem with them. they were brand new so i can't speak for how well they reload. Donn
  11. cherry gun Barry, Derek does sweet work. saving my money for one when I get back. i still owe you the other vids. Donn
  12. I use the Lyman manual case trimmer that you can get replacement steel cutters or carbide cutters for that would probably fit in a drill. You would also have to get the pilot for your caliber as well but it might work. good luck. Donn
  13. Chills, great hoser-cam, fantastic after action tool, wish I had one. have you tried the 3 gun gear 2 shot elastic attachment for just in front of the chamber on your shotgun? since you are reloading strong hand it may be faster for that first round in as you are rolling the gun over instead of the side saddle. i've also seen guys use an old bike inner-tube. something to try at least. Donn
  14. Harry Morant: We caught them and we shot them under Rule .303. Harry Morant (to firing squad): Shoot straight, you bastards! Don't make a mess of it! "Breaker Morant"
  15. Clear M Frames from the Oakley Ballistic array for the few seconds of shooting unless the stage has you facing into the sun and then back to dark, Oakey XX's for the taping and walking around. Sharyn likes the Oakley rose tinted but they didn't do much for me. Best resolution on the dot was with the clear ones. Donn
  16. Thanks, I would like to take an airsoft but won't be able to. Where I'm going overseas I won't have access to the gas and need something that can get banged around a lot and not have to worry about breaking it. I have heard that the airsoft are great for the garage.
  17. Another great job on the mens vid Sharyn! Pretty smart of Missoula to have those convenient props for your lead ins Donn
  18. Looking for mock guns to do dry fire traing with. Have only found Blueguns and ASP to date. They only offer standard production/1911 frames, no wide bodies. Does anyone know of a manufacturer of widebodies? I need something more durable than the airsoft given the environment I'll be operating in. Thanks. Donn
  19. Great vid Sharyn, I owe you the soundtrack for the mens version. Donn
  20. CQ, Great tool. Appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Donn
  21. Just remember, they are one of our closest allies in the region!
  22. Dawson +1's or Gramms. Gramms follower and spring kits are also good. Donn
