  1. Now that's a nice rig! Great info, thank you! And also, kudos for you to test the triggers correctly rather than at the bottom of the shoe.
  2. I use the Zev connector as well, prefer it over Johnny's + and dot connector.
  3. To be fair, it DOES pick up the hammer/striker drop BUT it will also pick up the sound from drawing. I find it more valuable to run repetitive drills without having to hit a button. For example (25) .8 second draw drills with a 5 second delay between drills
  4. Yup, got mine and love it compared to my Pact timer. the added functionality of creating drills that repeat is amazing. I don't have to hit the button over and over. The app works well
  5. No problem! If you are good with a sewing machine, or know someone, it's an option!
  6. https://imgur.com/a/XqYgsuk I basically hook this elastic part where my ratchet is. It's been working so far during dry fire.
  7. Pretty much what I did except I used a different elastic haha! And I used my existing inner belt, so was kind of cheaper as my mother has been a seamstress for years.
  8. Shooters Global great device and app is amazing
  9. Thanks for the write up brother. Curious as to your experience now after a couple months? Reading through soundgears site, the phantoms are rated at 22NRR. Wondering if that's sufficient or would 3M EEP with the skull screws (30NRR) provide better protection but less functionality
  10. Thought I would share with everyone on how I approached the "bunching" dilemma of the inner belt. I bought a roll of 1.5" elastic band. Cut my inner belts end off (the pointy end) and sewed the elastic band to the belt and the pointy end. now when I tighten the ratchet, the ratchet part is over the elastic band. Once I tighten the ratchet, the elastic band allows for the tightening without bunching up.
  11. Thanks for the up close! It's niiice! It's interesting to see everyone's take on quick release retention for competition.
  12. Yup, heavier pull. I wasn't a fan for my use case.
  13. I'm curious about your experience with Timney becoming unreliable over time? I have their new version with the dimpled trigger bar and Johnny Vex shoe and haven't had any reliability issues for around 1K rounds so far
  14. I recently got the Shooters Global shot timer that has an app for the timer. Both work amazingly, but you're looking at $200 + wait times

    California CZ Pref?

Thank you for the advice sir! If that's you shooting in those videos, very nice!! I'll be looking on the market for a used SP-01! If I can get it close to a Shadow 2 for less than half, I think the rest should be spent on ammo and training and would go much further in terms of results.

    California CZ Pref?

Thanks Chuck. Unfortunately I don't have anyone around me with a Shadow 2 and sp-01 to hold and compare.

    California CZ Pref?

I appreciate the response! I would only need a new holster, as I already have belt set up for USPSA. Pretty big step up in price isn't it? Especially knowing I could get the sp-01 optic and trigger/internals ready for almost half of what it would cost to get a Shadow 2 w/ internal work done. In free states, im sure the price difference between the sp-01 is worth it. But is the Shadow 2 worth 2x in this scenario?

    California CZ Pref?

Hey folks, I am unfortunately in California and am in the mercy of its handgun roster. I've always wanted a Cz, and after shooting Glocks for a few years I want to start looking for A CZ for Carry Optics or Limited Optics. Would y'all folks recommend to buy a SP-01 and have it worked on by CGW or fork out the off-roster tax for a Shadow 2 (some folks selling a Shadow 2 OR for $3-4K), which would significantly increase the costs after getting work done on it compared to a Sp-01. My CO gun right now is a Glock 17 Gen 3 with a Timney trigger.
  19. Shooters Global has been an amazing upgrade for me from the Pact
  20. Just received the 13# spring. No movement and it goes into battery during recoil spring test. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Only ammo I have right now is 124gr CCI blazer brass
  21. I've seen pictures of the Timney coating and they look pretty "bad", mine included, but it doesn't feel gritty or sluggish. Since the Timney are np3 I didn't polish mine. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Timney + Vex, as I love mine.
  22. Probably the answer I needed to hear. Unfortunately already placed the order with Jager. Wonder if I can cancel before it gets processed.
  23. I would love to, but the initial cost of a reload set up is a bit steep for me. with factory loads, seems there's a wide variance on PF?
