Will up it a tenth for a better PF margin. Lot of testing needed especially from "true" compensated guns. But based on this initial test the 155 is a real stand out. My gun configuration likes the heavier bullet and a 165 grainer' might be optimum. But I can say with confidence the 155 is by a wide margin the best "light" bullet major load I've tried. Flexmoney
I have a question Does this look like a good load or can I slow it down? You have that slow one in there at 1086fps, but it still makes 168+ pf. Other than that, your lows are looking good for 170+ pf. You could probably slow it down a bit, but I doubt you'd really notice it while shooting. If you aren't getting any signs of pressure...it might be a good idea maintain a cushion to make sure you don't go Minor.

Ok I will keep them right here then, I just switched from HS6 and 165 gr bullets, these 155's with autocomp are quite a bit louder, maybe sharper. Is the gun shooting pretty flat?
rupie
Yes it is pretty flat I only tested them on a 12 " steel plate but I was double tapping it as fast as I could pull the trigger at around 10 to 15 yards and keeping it on the steel, my main goal was to chrono them so i did not test them much. They are a little flatter and a little louder than my 165's. I should have tried a bill drill on the steel at various distances that might be a good test of the load. with definitive results. dkleskiw
Forgot to mention last time my OAL is 1.185 - 1.190 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 6.8 grains Avg: 1031 fps PF: 160 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 6.9 grains Avg: 1049 fps PF: 163 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 7.0 grains Avg: 1064 fps PF: 165 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 7.1 grains Avg: 1074 fps PF: 166 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 7.2 grains Avg: 1090 fps PF: 169 155 Berry's Round Shoulder Winchester Autocomp 7.3 grains Avg: 1096 fps PF: 170 Is it odd that even with 0.1 increases, the PF doesn't increase all that much? Must be reaching a limit of powder burn? The proof is in the shooting I guess.

Jman
FWIW and it's probably zip. I pulled a bullet on a Winchester Value Pack 165gr FMJ round. If that ain't AutoComp their kissin' cousins. The charge weighed in at 6.2 grains. I read, perhaps here, that it's more than likely WSF or some bulk commercial equivalent. In case your interested.....as I'm sure you are I am trying to duplicate the WWB round for my BRAND NEW JAGER COMPENSATED, FASTFIRE SIGHTED OPEN G35 (well, it's scored open) I'll post a pick...when I'm dang good and ready. Maybe tonight still.
