GMR 15 first outing

Hi, new guy here.

 

Picking up a base model GMR 15 tomorrow. Should i clean and then test fire or should i head to the range right out the door?

 

Something in particular i should look/check for?

 

Key places to lube before i start shooting?

 

First match with it this saturday!

You might clean the bore, but even if you don't, have fun, and good luck.

Oh, yeah. Welcome to the forum. There's lot's to do here. We've got a little get together planned for Friday night so be at the rec hall at 7:30 sharp.

Lube the bolt on the contact points and go have fun. 

 

Other than being a little heavy up front, that rifle is usually as reliable as they come.

As far as cleaning, a boresnake is all i have for this caliber at this point.

 

Any sugestions as to gear or kit to clean this one?

I use a gun cleaning kit with a rifle rod for the barrel.  I also use a boresnake.

Just got mine 2 weeks ago! Luv it! I didn't di anything but shoot it so far. They come lubed and ready to go!
