D.Hayden
The new forum shows seems to show a lot more information about a member than it used too. Avatar Image avatar line number of posts 'dots' friend thingy Posts: Joined: Gender: Location: Interests: And some peoples interests and locations are rather long... anyway to turn that off? The Interest/location of some peope are longer than the posts, in some case much longer... Just as an example.. one of the mods that strats with a number.. lol

9supercomp
The new forum shows a lot more, but the member numbers are gone now, I like that low member number in my display.
Flexmoney
I've been looking for a way to adjust what is displayed. No luck yet. Brian looked too. There has got to be a way...
High Lord Gomer
You can shrink what is shown on the left somewhat by turning off the display of the poster's avatar, though then you'd never see Flexmonkey posing in front of the fiery sphincter. Flexmoney
I think Brian was able to limit the "Interests" field down to 25 text characters or so. A better answer would be to not display the Interests or Gender fields on the posts, but we haven't figured that out yet.

And I'm not sure, but I think the limit only works with Member accounts edited after I set the limit. be
Flexmoney
I wonder if we need to just get rid of those fields altogether?
High Lord Gomer
It might be a fairly simple SQL statement to trim all of the existing entries in the database.
BritinUSA
I think it's possible to alter the list of fields that are shown underneath the avatar on each post: My linhttp://community.invisionpower.com/resources/official.html?record=98k That link references an item called Topic View Format , at the bottom of the page. I suspect that there is something in there that will allow Admin to decide which of the User's profile gets displayed.
