magicald_223
Here's some short videos of my son on the first day riding his new PW50 dirtbike without training wheels! He started out on a balance bike when he was 2.5 years old, then I bought him regular pedal bike and in 2 minutes he was riding w/o training wheels! And for Christmas all he wanted was a dirtbike. Check it out!
Bigpops
Awesome! My little guy started at 3 also, on a CRF-50. Now that he is close to 8 I am researching the BBR pit bike kits. This way we both enjoy it.... You may want the same Dad!
magicald_223
The BBR kits are nice. I had a Pitster pro that I used to ride him around on, but I sold it to get him the PW. Pitbikes are fun though. I want a 250 2-stroke dirtbike...one day maybe.
Bigpops
My oldest and I raced for 4 years. had multiple 125's and a 250 2-stroke! Loved em...and all Hondas of course! Then he crashed, snapped his arm, and we sold the 2 strokes and got a 250f for his comeback season. Though the bike was a beast...nothing sounds as sweet as a 2 smoker ripping it up! I still say that MOST riders would benefit from a 250 2 stroke. The bike has tons of power, is easy to work on, and demands good throttle control. High Lord Gomer
Very cool! I liked how he was cutting the corner shorter and shorter to catch up to the other kids. Looks like a real racer in the making to me.

magicald_223
Yeah, I'm proud of him. His oldest cousin in the video on the CRF50 races 70cc 4-wheelers but she's about to switch to a KTM 50. I've always made him wear protective gear even on his bike or scooter...Safety First! Maybe next year Santa will bring him a Cricket .22 rifle!!! 2-strokes RULE!!!!
High Lord Gomer
I just noticed that you're in Atlanta. You'll have to bring him out to Durhamtown Plantation sometime and we'll ride. By the time I can ride again I'll need a PW in front of me to keep me safe.
3quartertime
Thanks for sharing that! Great job in keeping him geared up. Don't think I actually wore a helmet till I was 18 or so. Just lucky I'm only as stoopid as I am stoopid...

magicald_223
I've heard Durhamtown is nice...my brother took his Raptor there a few years ago. I've got to get a cargo carrier for the back of my pathfinder. I'll get in touch with you when we decide to go once it warms up.

Pezco
Very Cool! I got my first bike at 11 years old and started racing at 14 and was factory sponsored by 16. Still riding at 50 years old! Live free or die trying.

magicald_223
Sounds great! Are there trails to ride at Durham town too?
High Lord Gomer
Sounds great! Are there trails to ride at Durham town too? Oh yes...over 100 miles worth! I have only ridden about half of them, though, as I don't like the tight, technical stuff and prefer to stick to the faster, wider trails. http://durhamtown.com/
magicald_223
Sweet...I'll let you know as soon as it warms up...maybe winter won't last too long this year, but I have a bad feeling about that.
