SkyScrapin
I run an SV IMM .38 SC. At the moment I have the Ti compensator (3 port, 2 side ports) with 4 popple holes. Was thinking about buying a barrel that does not have popple holes to play around with. Would it fit into place without any extra modification (besides spring work), or is this a job for the custom shop? FYI, barrel brand would not change. GentlemanJim
You would have to fit the barrel to the slide..including new comp Then fit the barrel lugs to the frame. Not a drop in by any means Jim
pjb45
You can tap the popple holes and screw in some bolts with loc-tite to experiment what it is like without them.
SkyScrapin
If I have it right, it would require me sending my pistola off to have the work done. When it would come back, I would have two swappable barrels though, correct? Preston

That one always bothered me. Debris collecting in the depressions? Possible weird pressure changes? Accuracy or PF issues? Don't have proof but I couldn't do it.
