kaiserb
I was wondering if anyone here has a good VV N320 load for 9mm 124 FMJ MG bullets that makes 125+ PF. Currently I have tried: 4.1 Gr. N320; OAL 1.140 4.2 Gr. N320; OAL 1.130 ~133 PF but had a few FTE 4.2 Gr. N320; OAL 1.100 ~134 PF poor accuracy I am running these through an M&P 5" Pro. Sarge
Look for some of my posts about my pro not making power factor with TG. I loaded some VV320 and things got better. BUT my gun runs slower than hell. I use MG 124 and 147 and pretty much run max published loads for 320 or TG. Try some 147's someday and see if they are as accurate as they are in my gun. I was putting 124's in about a 10" group then put 147's in about 4"and less. So it might not be the powder which is the accuracy culprit it could be the bullets. I tried 124 MG CMJ 4.2 320 1.135. 147 MG CMJ 3.8 320 1.135 It is possible the short oal you are using could hurt your accuracy. Good luck finding a load your pro loves. I am still trying. The_Vigilante
+1 on what Sandman said about the OAL. Why are you running the OAL so much shorter on the 4.2g loads than the others? Try all of them at the same OAL 1.135. Edited August 17, 2009 by The_Vigilante

In the M&P I made 131 PF with 4.2 gr TG 1.140 OAL, and 124 MG CMJ I also made 130+ PF with Bear Creek 147gr Moly with 3.9 Gr WST. 1.169 OAL

Try all of them at the same OAL 1.135. I suspected the OAL may be a culprit. I am loading up 50 rounds at 1.135 and 1.140 to check accuracy and PF
19852
I use 4.1 gr. N320 with a 1.085 OAL [125gr. Zero, 124gr. Berry's]. This with a CZ 75. Makes PF, accurate enough, reliable.
RePete
125 Hornady HAP 4.0/N320 OAL = 1.083" Velocity = 1091.8fps PF = 136.48 125 Hornady HAP 4.2/N320 OAL = 1.083" Velocity = 1093.3fps PF = 136.66 .2 more grains of powder yealded me nothing. All fired from a Glock 17.
kaiserb
I have been working along the same lines, finding there is a slight plateau with N320. I increased my OAL and picked up accuracy.
