Singlestack
I travel for a living. I spend 3 to 4 nights a week in a hotel. Usually a different hotel every night. I really hate it when I wake up and don't remember where I am. This morning I woke up and thought I was at home and I had to get out of bed and look out my window to remember where I was. Jim Rusert
I hate it too, although I only travel 4-5 times a year on business. Usually can't sleep the first night (missing my wife, our dog and the comfortable home routine) and by the time I'm comfortable sleeping in the hotel, I wake up not knowing where I am like you described. It sucks.

I don't look forward to that age! (oops, was that out loud?!?)
dcarter
When this happens to me I tell myself, "I'm never going to drink that much ever again!".
gm iprod
I do that from time to time. One time the alarm went off I turned and reached to my left and crashed into the wall. The bed was up against a wall and I just did what I normally do.
leam
Wow...didn't know someone else had this feeling. I was in the military, and then my wife was in. Being a pre-dawn riser, I've woken up a couple of times to the thought "What country am I in?" And they thought night lights were only for kids...
