38 Super over .357

I see S&W has a Perf. Center revolver set up for 38 Super.  My question is why?  They have a 38/357 gun and 357 wll make major.  Is the only reason the shorter Super case and thus quicker reloads, or am I missing something?

You can use full moon clips with the Super, thus it's much faster to reload.

My PC-627 in 38/357 uses full moon clips with .38 special or .357 mag cases, so its got to be something else.

The shorter cases pop in and out better with less flopping around in the clips-- it's why I shoot .40 in my 610

Shred has got it.  I have heard die hard revo shooters proclaim the virtues of shooting 9mm revo with moon clips because the cases are short and they insert and eject quickly.

I own a 627 in 38 Super. I bought it because a 38 Super revolver is not something that is available all the time. As a matter of fact it is kind of rare.

There are some that believe that the 38 Super is more inherently accurate than a 9mm or 38 Special.

The main reason that I bought it was because I already shoot Super and now I can shoot in revolver class without loading for another caliber.
