ErikW
Directed by William Friedkin, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio del Toro, it's hard to believe how all that talent could make such a bad movie. The only good thing about it are the semi-realistic knife fights. They had two knife fighting expert consultants. Their admitted only concession to drama was to stretch them out longer than is realistic.
lynn jones
i agree, the knife fights were the only good thing about that movie. the move should've had a plot.
AikiDale
I had to suspend my suspension of disbelief when the hunted ripped springs from a car and forged a knife while on the run.......
ErikW
Yeah that was the worst. Soaking wet, near a river, he managed to light a fire in the PacNW by twisting a stick in his hands. Didn't even use a bow. Then he got the fire hot enough to forge a steel leaf spring into a knife, without the benefit of any kind of bellows. All while the feds and TLJ were hot on his heels. Cripes, it was more believable when Kirk made gunpowder and a hand-cannon while being pursued by that creature...
a-44978
But the repelling move(very cool).............and yea it sucked.
Duane Thomas
Having not seen the movie, I have to ask: are you guys referring to "rappelling?"
Nolan
It's unfortunate about the GAPING GAPING holes in the movies plot because Del Toro was great. Tommy Lee Jones was OK, but nothing spectactular. You could see the insanity in the eyes of Del Toro's character in one scene. He's perfectly normal looking speaking calmly, then click "We don't respect the animals" and you can just tell this guy has a serious mental short circuit. diehli
Good question, Duane... though I also glean from the reviews that the scene may have, in fact, been repelling.
