norbs007
I use one for loading 38 Supercomp, can I also use it for loading 9mm Major? I'll be using the same bullets. TIA

AWLAZS
I called redding and asked them the same question. They told me no because it would not seat the 9mm deep enough.
norbs007
Darn it! I was hoping it can work as it will only be 0.065" shorter than the 38 Supercomp. Thanks guys.
larry cazes
Norbert, If 9 Major is loaded to almost the same length as 38super the seater should be fine, no? Did you mention the actual desired OAL to redding?

Did you mention the actual desired OAL to redding? Thanks Larry, I asked here first and did not call Redding anymore. Checked my setup last night and the seater die's micrometer is set at exactly .235; so dialing it down to .170 is not a problem for an OAL of 1.170". It should work unless there's something off between the two calibers other than length. I really hate to buy another one if not necessary.
ocx
What shape of bullet nose is the stem designed to seat? Thanks.
LPatterson
The stem is for a round nose design and touches the bullet on the ogive. The only problem may be that the case body of a 38 super is straight and a 9mm is tapered. I bought mine as a 9mm so I don't know or is it YMMV.
