burntcrispy
I'm looking at getting my Limited blaster finished with IonBond. I'm leaning toward getting everything coated (barrel, frame, internals, etc) Anyone know if they can put IonBond on a Dawson Toolless guiderod and Aftec Extractor? Thx. Scout454
They do thumb safeties, grip safeties and slide stops.
JoshF
Yes, they'll do all the small parts. I had Ryan do all the pins, extractor and front sight on my pistol. They all turned out great! Duane Thomas
I had the full-length guide rod (and most of the rest of the gun, actually) IonBonded in a custom 9mm 1911. I did leave the barrel bright stainless, but that's only because I'm a sucker for the looks of a "white" barrel hood through a black ejection port. Oh but Ryan has a solution for that too!! You don't see it much but they do a silver coating called TB30. When you have it done on a polished surface it looks like bright chrome and wears like hard chrome! It's TOUGH STUFF and VERY nice looking. I had my barrel and guiderod done in it and will on future guns as well. Even with the Ionbonded slide you can see absolutely NO wear on the barrel after one year and about 6000rnds it looks like I just polished and buffed it yesterday! There is more to Ionbond then just DLC! Edited November 17, 2008 by JoshF
Rolex
Great looking blaster. Love it! Guess when I get my new SV Limited back will have to think of the IB finish.
