  1. Anyone have an idea of how I would get a 1600 lb gun safe moved from Dallas to Houston? Thanks.
  2. My Benelli functions flawlessly with ANY type of SG ammo put in it. I think the gas guns tend to have more problems with various ammo. The Benelli definately has more felt recoil than the gas guns though.
  3. Anyone know when the scores are going to be posted online?
  4. I've got thousands of draws out of kydex holster with my IonBonded Limited gun. Absolutely no marks at all!! This stuff is very impresive. The bluing on my Les Baer is starting to look pretty bad from kydex. I'm thinking of getting it covered in IonBond as well.
  5. Ed Vandenberg. He built my Limited gun and 30K rounds later still shoots like a dream. He's also done a ton of work on my ARs and SGs. Very pleasant to deal with and good turn around.
  6. Anyone have some data for loading either 180 or 200 gr FMJ with Solo 1000? I'm loading for a 5 inch STI. Thanks.
  7. Has anyone tried the MG 200 gr in .40? I'm switching from Molys to jacketed bullets and am considering getting some of these. It seems like they would shoot a little softer. Thanks.
  8. I just received 2 cases of .223 from MG. They are noticably different from the last batch I got a year ago. 1. The tip of the bullet is much blunter 2. The bottom of the bullet has a little "lip" where there is copper coating but no lead. It looks like there needs to be a little more lead. The length and weights are the same. The new bullet is also a little duller in appearance than my old batch. I know they must be churning these bullets out as quickly as possible to meet demand. Do you think there is a QC issue? I don't have time to go to the range for accuracy testing. My old batch would shoot at least MOA groups. What do you guys think? I tried to take a picture but it didn't come out very well.
  9. Well, I ordered it from PV about a month or 2 ago. I guess I must have clicked the wrong thing because this is what they said I ordered. They do not take back powder once delivered so I'm kinda stuck with all 8 pounds of it. The guy at PV told me that Hodgons said they would be very low on powder for the rest of the year. I guess I'll keep this stuff for back up or something. Anyone use this for .45? I've got LOTS of large pistol primers so I think I may start shooting single stack for a while
  10. I just got some Universal Clays by mistake. (usually shoot straight Clays in .45) Does anyone know if this powder would be useful for .45, .40 or 9mm? Thanks.
  11. Thanks for all of the info. Looks like I got the job so I'll be moving to Houston around this time next year. I look forward to shooting with you guys.
  12. Got one today. It definately works as advertised. Had the mag disassembled in less than 30 seconds with no effort at all. The GTUL is a must for the range bag of anyone who shoots Glocks.
  13. I was wondering about: How many matches around the area/month? Quality of the matches? Is there anywhere to practice that has bays where you can set up targets for running drills? Thanks.
  14. I'm interviewing for a job in Houston. Are there many USPSA clubs around the area? Thanks.
  15. I got mine a couple of months ago from SWFA. Brownells had them but may be backordered now.
  16. 1+ I've got at least 25K molys in my .40 over the past year and the barrel actually looks brand new. The only cleaning I do to the barrel is to run a patch with break free through it every 1K rounds or so. YMMV.
  17. Fifty yard poppers...I don't even know if my minor loads will knock down a popper at fifty yards? I'll put them DOWN HILL for you!! Still have 48 spots left.....get em' while the gettin' is GOOD... I'll pay you at the match this weekend. Jason M
  18. A friend of mine spoke with Winchester. The rep said they are churining out primers 24/7 but people are buying them up as soon as they hit the shelves. He thought the shortage was mainly due to hoarding and that supply will eventually be plentiful after the hoarders have thier fill.
  19. Thx for the help. Called LaRue and they recommend the SPR. Hopefully it is on its way because my scope will be here tomorrow! I hope this accupoint is as cool as I've heard because I've never seen one in person
  20. I've got a new Trijicon accupoint 1-4 and need a mount. Which of LaRue mount do you recommend: SPR or SPR-E? Thx, Jason
  21. My gun started life as a Springfield Mil Spec around 14 yrs ago. I used the frame as a base and build a custom gun with it. The beavertail is a McCormick I think. It looks like an Ed Brown but it doesn't have any lines in the pad. I actually was working on it today to try to make it easier to engage and I accidentally took off a little too much metal. Now it is disabled like my comp guns. So now I'm looking at getting another with a bigger pad if I can. Thx for the help.
  22. I've got the grip safeties on my comp guns disabled. On my carry gun, however, I do not have it disabled. I have large hands and prefer an arched MSH but sometimes I'm not able to disengage the grip safety. Does someone make a beavertail that has a fatter pad on it to make it easier to engage? Any suggestions to fix this problem other than pinning the safety? Also, is there any legal problems or safety issues with having your carry gun's grip safety disabled? Seems like the thumb safety would be sufficient. Thanks for the help.
