Vagus
A friend sent this link to me. http://bored-night.com/index.php/People/Gr...T-Handguns.html Whatcha all think? Can't imagine my personal terror had they been 1911's or something I was more intimately familiar with.
HighVelocity
I'm pretty disgusted by the wanton destruction of firearms. Although, it looks like there's no shortage. I wonder how many of those puppies have ever been made?

HSMITH
Those are pretty decent guns for what they cost, and it looked like most were new/arsenal new, lot of them still had the paper stuck to them with cosmoline. STUPID, really STUPID to destroy them. They could have sold them and used the proceeds to fight crime if they had any intention at all of actually fighting crime. Destroying guns is a POLITICAL statement, nothing more.

mlmiller1
The makarovs(reddish grips) were/are great guns. That is a real shame! In the big scheme of things, that wasn't many guns but to regular folks like me, that was a fortune. MLM

JKSNIPER
We due to our job description have had to assist in this with ATF . They come with a batch of firearms and we have to cut them up using torches or AEG saws. In the batch once was a brand new never fired nickle plated .357 revolver . It was horrible. Our department ahas rules prohibiting the sale of firearms confiscated and destroys all the ones that cannot be returned to their owners for whatever reason. Other departments across the country sell them to either police agencies or police officers. Funds then pay for drug/gun enforcement. A shame they could not have done the same here.
