Shooter's Shock Absorber

Recommended Posts

FWIW Finally heard from IDPA HQ (Robert Ray) and it is illegal per P. 4 under "Purposes of IDPA" and P. 8 C1 "Competition IDPA Rules". As others have said...use it for practice.

Still waiting to hear from USPSA

Here it is......

Richard,

I am afraid that you are correct. This product would not be legal for use in IDPA under the purposes of IDPA on page 4 of the rule book and on page 8 C1, Competition rules. On their website they make these statements;

Advantages

• Reduces Recoil Stress on Wrist and Elbow

• Reduces Recovery Time Between Shots ( Split Times)

• Reduces Muscle Fatigue

• Reduced Perceived Recoil

The two things that get them are point 2 and 4. The other two would not really be an issue.

Thank you,

Robert Ray

Hmm well I guess I won't be shooting I Don't Practice Anymore

From the forum guidelines:

Attitude

Please be polite. Or if not polite, at least respectful.

No bickering. Regardless of the subject matter.

Antagonistic, offensive, or quarrelsome tones are not acceptable.

Politics

Policy or political debates of any kind are not welcome.

Specifically including (but not limited to):

* USPSA vs IPSC

* IPSC vs IDPA

I really wish we could leave the Us and Them... IDPA thing out of threads. They are fellow shooters... I don't give a damn what they shoot.

I could not agree more. There are plenty of places on the internet to pick apart your fellow shooting brothers. This is NOT one of them.
