Has Anyone Seen This?

I tried clicking on that link, but it would not go through for me. If it is what I think it is, then I think it is just a solution looking for a problem.

I don't know how much it costs, but I think you could achieve the same results with a 2 dollar drill bit, maybe a 3 dollar tap, and some set screws, maybe 10 cents each.

For our action pistol games, I think it's over kill. Your press might actually run or work better with a little play in the toolhead too.

Watching a G. David Tubb reloading video, it would seem that running a just bullet-ed rifle round up into the bullet seating die 3 times, spinning the round a 1/4 of a turn each time would do more for accuracy than that kit. And that's for guys who wear those thick bulkey coats in the middle of a Camp Perry summer shooting between 600 and 1,000 yards

Try the above link. I certainly like the idea, but I don't know that my press needs that improvment (and I am not going to throw $50 at it just to see if I need to). The concept is good though, it would allow the shell plate to be fully tightened and thus make the case stand up perfectly straight and tall (no crunching cases on sizing or powder stage).

There are 2 kinds of people: Those who ask questions and wait and those who search ;)

Threre are also 10 kinds of people: Those who understand binary numbers and those who don't.

EDIT: Frickster: Sorry, I forgot: Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!

So where does that put the 11'd person?

Except those are not what he was asking about....

Bearing shellplate, not tool head clamp.

Looks neat (like all their stuff), but my 550'd ammo is good'nuff for me for our game, althought I love their powder micrometer for ease of setting and consistancy.

I'm not convinced it really makes that much of a difference, tightening the bolt harder would just increase the friction between the shellplate and the press, or am I missing something here?

And speaking of the shellplate and the press, do you have any lube between them?
