zhunter
Someone make a decision, I will make my hotel reservation accordingly as soon as we are confirmed for which day we are shooting. We really need the Saturday, as I want to watch the Super Squad on Sunday before I fly out. IF we shoot Friday, I will just fly out Saturday. AikiDale
Here we go. It is just off the Interstate 44, near the airport and, for a fee, allows pets. It also has high speed internet service so we can beam embarrassing photos of the supper squad back to the Benoverse. Holiday Inn Express with Pets allowed
carinab
From the relatives that live in Owasso: That hotel is a ways east of town... It's there at that exit that you turn off I-44 and go north.I wouldn't say it is a bad area - kinda out in the boonies, not many restaurants nearby. But at the same time, it's going to be very high traffic between the interstate and the Casino that is right there. Not to mention that it is a good ways from the range. The Holiday Inn in Owasso would be considerably closer, probably nicer, and possibly safer I'd think. Although I think I remember a complaint about the Holiday Inn Owasso from last year but I didn't find it in a search. Maybe my search-fu is weak....More importantly, perhaps they don't take pets. zhunter
OK, which Holiday Inn we gonna stay at? Or are those, Dale and Carina's one and the same? "Safe"? WTF, I reckon our group to be fairly safe no matter where we go. So, I need hotel info, not a list, someone give me ONE. Make a decision, even if it is wrong!!!! And, is there not a "match hotel" that gives us a rate?
AikiDale
The one I posted above appears to be a little closer to the airport AND IT ALLOWS PETS. The Owasso is apparently closer to the range AND ABSOLUTELY FORBIDS PETS. However, I don't know 'nuthin 'bout Tulsa.... Either is okay by me, and, Z it seems. If the above mentioned chihuahua needs a room....
zhunter
Well, as soon as we have a shooting day confirmed, I will make a reservation. Closer to the range is cool, closer to restaurants is good too. I don't want to drive more than 30 minutes to the range. You guys that have been there before should make the choice, NOT me!!

carinab
Here is a google map of the range location. The Holiday Inn Catoosa is about 20 miles away which will take about 20 minutes with weekend traffic.... I think you'll want to find other restaurants tho....this list doesn't look good. There are plenty of place to eat north on 169 from 76th St...a super walmart/target too (for those things you forgot to pack). Or there are a number of good restaurants down in Tulsa proper. zhunter
One thing here is confusing in the match rules: EQUIPMENT - Any pistol legal in USPSA Limited/L10/Production/Single Stack or IDPA SSP/ESP/CDP - Minimum caliber 9x19 - Maximum of 10 rounds loaded in any magazine AFTER THE START SIGNAL. - Any shooter using more than 10 rounds in a magazine after the start signal will zero the stage (0 hits). - Power Factor - NONE, but STEEL MUST FALL TO SCORE (125,000 or higher recommended). So, it does not say how many rounds are allowed in the gun at the start. It only states a "maximum of 10 rounds loaded in any magazine AFTER THE START SIGNAL." How do you guys read this? Is it a 10 +1? Is is a 9 +1? Or is it a start with as many as you can stuff in the gun?

Chuck Anderson
If there is 10 in the magazine at the start signal and it's a loaded gun start it would be 10+1. If it's an unloaded gun start it would just be the 10 in the mag.
