vluc
Are modifications permitted to mag holders in Production Class? Oops...Division. The reason I ask is that I have a few holders (ky-tac and comp-tec) that cover the lower third of the magazine, while the Uncle Mike and Fobus cover at least half. Can you reduce the amount covered by an Uncle Mike or Fobus so that it covers less than half, closer to a third of the magazine? Seems that it can be reduced to above the top screw and still provide stability and security to the magazine. Thanks!
Vince Pinto
IPSC Production Division only limits which guns may be used, and the position of your holster and other equipment on your belt (behind the hipbone).

the duck of death
Before doing that just don't seat them all the way in the holder. No wacking and much easier to grab.
vluc
LOL! Too late Duck! been wanting to do something with that extra one anyway...took off about 1/2 an inch...mag comes out a lot nicer... Dremel and kydex...the two just go together....now there is that extra Fobus sitting around as welll....
Singlestack
I accomplished the same thing and still maintained the "stock" look. I put 1/2 " mini-cell spacers in the bottom of the mag holders.
B.J. Norris
1/2" mini cell spacers just aren't as fun as a 28,000 RPM Dremal.......
mcoliver
In my UM, I just inserted some thick rubber-foam inside the pouches. Cut it just enough to expose the amount of mag area I needed.
