ranger
I have a Springfield Armory P9 Long Slide Ported that was custom built into an Open Pistol in 9x21 years ago. I have not shot Open in years. I was wondering if I could buy an EAA/Tanfoglio "top end" in 40S&W so that I could convert this Open pistol into Limited. Comments or advice wil be appreciated. The P9 is the original CZ75 style "small frame". Thanks
BrianH
Yep...the EAA small frame top fits the P9.
sinnsyk
I believe EAA has a small frame 40 conversion kit for your gun. However, and I have to say however... the magazine capacity on the small frame is rather ... low. Not sure exactly what you can squeeze into those mags in 140mm (I do have some CPMI pads for them if you need), but you're going to be at a disadvantage for sure. How about this... as an option... put your money into a new Match 40 S&W and get 21 + 1 rounds in your mags! Call me if you want to mull this over. J-Ho
+1 on the Witness Match. (Mine does double duty in IDPA ESP, USPSA Limited) Great price too. +1 on calling Henning.
Kingman
I have an older p9 as well. Don't use it as an open gun, but would not mind a top end that would allow it to be used in production
