Which SS magazines are long enough to work with the Techwell?

Which SS magazines are long enough to work with the Techwell and fit in the box?

Are the Wilson 47D or the 47DE magazines long enough to work with the Techwell and are they also short enough to fit in the box?

I use the Wilson 47 mags with the extended base pads. They seat fine and fit the box with no problem.

Just got my Techwell. I have Wilson 47DE mags and I had to modify the front of the base pad just a bit to fit. 10 minutes with a dremmel and all my mags fit and drop nicely.

I use CMC 8rd powermags with the extended basepads.

Which size Techwell did you guys get? I've got the largest version and the gun isn't here yet (at the smith) so I can't get an idea what mag basepad combo will be long enough to work. R,

Mine is the large one.

I just have the medium one, the one that will fit uspsa/idpa box. If you go with the biggest one they make, no way with 8-rounders, gotta be L10 mags.

I sent an email to TechWear and didn't get a response. So I ordered the SVI. Come Area 2 TechWear had a bunch of them at their table for $150 (grip and magwell).

Now the aluminum SVI is actually cheaper and you can use pretty much any grip you want. Though the SVI is an incredible betch to install.

I have an assortment of McCormick, Kimpro, Wilson, Mecgar and Tripp. On the McCormick's, I had to take the nose of the floorplate to a belt sander. The rest all worked with the Techwell. I did have to grind off .020 on the front of the extended pads to clear the box.
