ErikW
Anybody got any tips on using one of these? I was horrified by its draw at first but I think I got something worked out so the gun doesn't hang up. But if I don't do it perfectly, it's like drawing from my Ghost with the lock on. I just can't imagine getting it perfect every time in a match. Does the inside pseduo-suede lining break in?
Custom Glock Racing
sand off the fuzzy junk inside. Put your gun in the holster and crank the screws down real tight and leave it for a couple days so the holster molds to your gun. Line the inside with graphite powder. After forming above go shoot a few hundred rounds till your gun is real hot then put back in holster to let the heat mold more permanently and to bake in the graphite. Repeat 3 and 4 a few times. Nik Habicht
Too much work. Sell Holster, order Blade-Tech. Wait for delivery, drink beer.
benos
Erik, I've only used one a bit with a single stack, and had no problems whatsoever. I did it. Let me tell ya, The Great One comes out of thing a blazin.' be
ErikW
Yeah, I've seen him on American Shooter with it. And I saw TJ use one at the Factory Gun Nats. I wonder if my square-slide Glock is the problem. Matt, thanks for the tips. Nik, if all else fails.
Duane Thomas
How high is your front sight? It may be hanging up. I had to have Blade-Tech specially mold my carry holster with an extra-generous sight track.
ErikW
Bah, I filed down my stock front sight. Plenty of room for it. It's just that pseudo-suede lining in a new holster that's made to fit a few different guns OK, not fit mine perfectly. Did a couple for-real draws with it today, got under a second. I'll withhold final judgement until it's fully broken in. I don't suppose there's a better belt adapter? The supplied belt loop thing is a joke. Especially when you've used the spacers. Duane Thomas
Yeah, the belt loop is lame. I always use this rig as a paddle holster. It's a MUCH nicer holster that way.
benos
Yes, the paddle is the way to go. be

THS
Paddle for sure. Silicone spray, and LOTS of it at first, and the suede will compact and get fairly slick. Thanks to the DEA guys for that tip. Tom
Duane Thomas
Erik, I'd think you should be able to buy just the paddle from Safariland, and install it to your 560. I know when I got mine, they came as paddles with the belt loops supplied as options. Surely it works the other way around.
