Good Time Gang
i was at the gun store in January, needless to say i saw something that i thought i needed. i picked up a tauras 1911, and now i am not sure what i should with it. i have fired 23 rounds through it to make sure it would go bang. i am thinking about making it a L-10 gun, or shooting single stack. has anyone else used one? or does any one have any thoughts? Merlin Orr
Stick a magwell on the gun and buy 6 mags - either 8 or 10 rounders - and go shoot "something" (L10 or Single Stack USPSA - CDP class IDPA) ....

Nemo
i picked up a tauras 1911, and now i am not sure what i should with it. or does any one have any thoughts? My birthday is fast approaching! You've only shot 23 rounds out of it? Go get some more mags and shoot it like it's a loaner! Let me give you another "Heck Yeah!"
Viggen
Put another 2000-3000 through it in matches and then you have a basis for saying that it works. Oh ya, a mag well would be a good thing too.

Good Time Gang
can you put a mag well on a ss gun? are there any other modifications that i need to make that will allow me to shoot both classes, or do i need to pick one and trick it out for that? Jim Taylor
This pistol reportedly has a magwell (S&A type). I am partial to the SVI one which is the sh*t. Best regards, Jim Taylor

Leave it alone except for a magwell. Any magwell (that I know of) made for a Single Stack will fit the box. The box is the same for both USPSA and IDPA. If you just must do something to the gun have a trigger job done. Nothing else. Buy ammo. Point (Aim ) and Shoot. Grin. IMHO
