What Does Unloaded Mean?

I swear I feel like I'm on Candid Camera. I keep looking over my shoulder to see if someone is going to jump and yell, "Gotcha! You really believed someone would try to make this argument with a straight face!"

C'mon. Tell me.

Where's the camera? B)

If that is what you considered a 'unloaded gun', then why can't we walk around the range with a mag inserted in the gun but nothing in the chamber?

Pretty easy call.

So, "having a live round in a magazine inserted in the firearm" means the gun's loaded.

Uh...... yeah..... ...

The corrolary is that an empty magazine inserted in the firearm means the gun's unloaded.

Well.... since in the most anti-ammunition-handling locale to be found anywhere on the range during an IPSC match, i.e., the safe area, you can in fact practice reloads with empty magazines, um, well, ......???

(Did I just see Allen Funt peeking around from behind a barricade?)
