JD45
Anyone can make a mistake, and boy somebody sure did. My Square Deal B came back from being rebuilt with a new style plastic grommet on the failsafe rod. The old one snaps in and stays put. This new one falls out and hangs up when you operate the press arm. It's the about the dumbest thing I've seen on a press. Dillon admitted the problem, said that their vendor had changed, and stated that the old ones were gone. Their suggestion was to put a zip-tie on top of it. I removed the part and used flat washers instead. Anyway, I don't know if every model used to have this grommet, but if yours snaps in place, save it. Don't send it back, because you won't like the new one!
Micah
Great point! Never, NEVER chuck old press/gun parts! You never know when you may need them again!
Flatland Shooter
Same problem. Solved it by silver soldering a washer under the arm. I don't change calibers so I rarely need to pull the powder measure and its no longer an issue.
unclez
I put a jam nut on mine to keep the plastic wing nut from backing out. Zack
