Does it damage the equipment? If the answers are "Yes" and "No" then what's the problem? If they think that bolting an anvil dampens recoil, well, go for it. I don't care. The match is won (wait, let me re-phrase that).....second place is won by the guy who shoots fast and accurate, reloads when he needs to, and reloads fast and smooth.
