BigDave
What is the only band to get airplay on MTV every single day?
Steve Anderson
from the inception of MTV? Gotta be Aerosmith. SA
Flexmoney
ditto. Then again...maybe you are talking about some lead-in music (or whatever) that they play as some type of theme song??
BigDave
dammit, now you got me thinkin!!! ok, I'll re-phrase Since the inception of MTV-News, what is the only song to be played every, single day??? And its not an intro. This almost gives it away, but its my fault for not doing my complete homework first. In any event, it is still the most played song on MTV. BigDave
and its not Aerosmith, Jacko, Prince or NSYNC (or other b.s. like it)
ErikW
I suppose they are a 24 hour network and they don't end their programming with the Star Spangled Banner.

BigDave
Nope - but you are in the correct time period
ErikW
Oh, if it's MTV news, then it's Megadeth, from Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? Great editing on that video; I've only seen it once. Cutting back and forth rapidly between other scenes and an A-10 Warthog on an attack run. Whaddaya mean I don't support the system? I go to court when I have to. Whaddaya mean I'm not kind? I'm just not your kind.
BigDave
Woooo Hoooo!!! How did I know you'd get that one Erik? I like the chorus: If there's a new way I'll be the first in line But, It better work this time. That whole album is pretty good, not as good as R.I.P. I hate to say it, but Dave Mustain's music is a helluva lot better when he's stoned. (Edited by BigDave at 3:03 pm on Aug. 2, 2002)
ErikW
I like "Hook In Mouth"... that album came out around the time of Tipper Gore and her PMRC. I think, in addition to covering the Sex Pistols, don't they also do "Superstitious" on that one?
BigDave
Anarchy in the U.K. and Hook in Mouth were on the next album So Far, So Good, So What? but they rock too (again, back when Dave was stoned alot). Erik, if you like anti-Tipper songs, look for a song named Sensor Us by Pinkard and Bowden
ErikW
Yeah that's the one I have, with Peace Sells, Anarchy, Hook, and Superstitious.
Bill Schwab
What a trip down memory lane....I haven't listened to my Megadeth tapes in years, maybe I'll blow the dust off of them this weekend and slap one in. Dave, If you don't have the Disturbed CD get it, it's good stuff.
BigDave
Got it. Hell, I can't find my tapes anymore. I'm going to go and find some used CD versions, then put em on Mini-Disc for my road tips. Yeah, that's some good "old" stuff.

Steve Anderson
I always hated Dave Mustaine because on humid days in the 80's, my hair looked just like his and my bandmates wouldn't let it go...Took 3 hours to air dry. SA
